    Bypass patients Beware

As always check with your surgeon. I tried to research and some docs are worried about malabsorption and the increased rish of blood clots. One sight said depro may cause osteoarthritis. The iud seems the most favorite. Hysterectomy when I was 28!

    torani

Hi emailed torani in hopes of buying sample or small bottles of sugar free flavorings. They were very nice and even though they didn't have samples they were kind enough to send me 3 $1.00 off coupons. WWW.TORANI.COM

    Changed my surgery date :(

Taking the easy way out? Holy cow batman the leg work before you can be approved for surgery then the surgery its self then the life long commitment. Not sure how they think its the easy way out. Good luck with your surgery. Remember your doing this for you not them.

At pookybear Be careful with depo shot. I worked in an ob/gyn office and my step daughter does the shots and they make you gain weight.

I am 3 months into the 6 month diet. I always seem to diet then drink a coke or something I shouldn't and tell myself I will definately start tomorrow. Then tomorrow is ground hog day. I know the seriosness (spelling) of the surgery but I need help to get back on track. Any suggestions?

Kay, Hope you are better. We will continue to pray for you!
  12. Welcome. I have read a week minimum (spelling). One thing to consider is the up, down, sit, stand and bend. I have had c-sections so I am aware of the pain. See what you can do. Great that you don't have to wait 6 months. Ask the surgeon what his reccomendations are. Missy Brown LPN

    back in the hospital

Kat, This is just a bump in the road. God love ya maybe its a hill in the road lol. So I am a nurse and if thet give you test or results feel free to ask if I don't know I will look it up. Also be proactive and ask the nurses what tests are being done you have the right to have copies of your tests results. Or ask them to write it down. They will fix whatever is wrong then you will be home soon and this will be in your past. Relax let the medicine work and rest your body. Will continue to pray for you! Gentle hugs! <3 <3 Missy

  17. They give you fluids through your veins. You may just feel bloated just relax, don't worry your body will flush the liquids out.

    Drain Tubes?

Let the scab fall off on its own then use vitamin E or mcderma for scars to keep it soft.

    flavored water

I am pre-op tasting and trying new things. I OH we have a store called Krogers. I found a non-carbonated water called hint. No sugars, artificial flavorsM or sweetners. The one I got was blackberry. Kinda pricy at 1.49 each. Its water with a hint of blackberry. They had other flavors.

Thanks for being candid with me. I am like you I will do whatever is necessary not to vomit. Fingers crossed I won't.

    rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia

Its helped me emotionally so much to know that there is releif down the road. Gastric bypass won't cure me but hopefully releive the pain some. This question is going to sound gross but I have to ask. Is vomiting with your new pouch like vomiting with a stomach? Is it still gut renching, painful, out your nose or is it more like a vomit belch in your mouth?

    rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia

God send but I packed on the weight. The RA wasn't found until a year later. I have seronegative RA which means blood tests didn't show I had ra but my rheumatologist did ct scan of my hands and found it early. I have it severe that controling my pain is difficult. So bad to the point that between the fibro pain the ra pain and the ability to not do my job job I swallowed an entire bottle of sleeping pills. I was working a full time part time job plus had my own toy business. Now I have to have my husband drop me off at the door of walmart because of the pain. I take 4 aleve daily, weekly orencia injections and plaquinelle twice a day. They say get out and walk and I cringe thinking I can't walk but a few minutes until I hurt.
