Has anyone not told anyone about having surgery?
skikyd replied to Ky89's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I told only a few people. Not my mother. I had told a friend and got sooooooo much push back, I did not expect. I stopped telling people. The bitch of it is nobody notices the first 75 pounds any way. No need to say anything until then any way. -
I year out. 87 pounds gone. Feel great. Look great.. Bet thing I ever did. Any doubts? IM me. I'll talk one on one anytime.

I agree with Recycled. I was " stalled" at 262# for the longest time. That was 64 pounds AGO. Now I'm stalled at 198. Boo.... Fickin..... hoooo! Keep to your plan and the pounds will come off. It's a lifestyle change, a lifelong marathon. Not a sprint or a diet. My nurse practionactor Told me: if you can look YOURSELF in he mirror and say I am eating the right things; MOST MEALS MOST DAYS MOST WEEKS MOST MONTHS MOST YEARS. You will get there. No one is perfect.

Best and worst "compliments"
skikyd replied to Healthier2day1227's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
People usually do not know what to say. They may think you weight loss is due to an illness like cancer..... And not want to ask. The other thing I like o say is: " the bitch of it is, no one notices the first 75 pounds" At a 25 pound loss my mother told me I was " gaining weight". At 85 pound loss she " noticed". I has lost some weight, but had started to gain........ Screw them all. it's all about YOU. About you being more healthy. -

I'm not sure what your panty size gas to do with your shoe size, ( but you did post it 4 times, So I guess it is significant) But keep talking dirty to me, I'll figure it out some day. I am just a simple uneducated, man from a small fishing village. -

Getting nervous due to all the comments I am hearing
skikyd replied to Buckfever53's topic in The Guys’ Room
Ready: good for you. I wish I had done it at age 40 vs age 60. I lost 40 # Pre op. But I had lost and gained in the past. I was motivated Pre-op. but I knew I could backslide again Pre op I COULD HAVE eaten, say a meatball sub. And gotten away with it. I. Am 4+ months sleeved. I PHYSICALLY CANNOT EAT the likes of a meatball sub. If I even eat what I am supposed to....... Too quickly, I pay the price. You learn your limitations. I need this " Hard Rail" to keep me on course. The best thing is I am master of food. Food is NOT MY MASTER. -

I agree with Dabubba. Had a conversation with a friend today... She said ". Never thought of you as overweight.". Just a big guy that carried it well. I am down 73.5#.... Closing in on the 75 # mark. Hopefully by the weekend. My mantra. If I can lose 75 #. I can lose 25 more! . Trying to eat very clean. Drink my water( 65-75 oz / day). And exercise. PEW I call it. Protein Exercise Water I have signs up everywhere. PEW, PEW. To remind me. When I was Pre-op the doc wanted a 24 hour collection of urine for a test. I delivered 11# of water to the lab. That is how much I was drinking the -

You lost 90 pounds in 4 months? I'm down 30 pounds and thinking I'm doing well. Do you have hair loss? I'm feeling a little thin on top. Doc says it due to weight loss. Taking Biotin. -
I ment. WALK, not work.
