I am on new direction shakes. My dr also said protein powders from GNC were good. I have that too. I like them both. You need to find a shake you can live with. -

I did 3 weeks of liquid diet. It was great. I just wish there were more flavors. I am 3 days post op. on Clear liquids. Looking forward To 4 more weeks of Protein shakes. -

Good for you. Good answers from TAra and go walking. I told a few people. I got pushback from unexpected people. I'm keeping it on the down low. My mothers does not know. I told my brother an hour ago. I had sucessful surgery on Thursday, but got a cardiac complication. I am still in the hospital in the cardiac wing. Do not know when I will go home. WLS Surgeons cleared me. On Saturday for home.

To Band or Sleeve..that is the question??

I originally went in looking for a band. After talking to others and a gastroenterology doctor friend, I opted for a sleeve. I am not trying to change anyone's mind. Just telling my story. WLS in 30 hours. -
Wednesday I call to find out my time for Thursday. I am so excited I cannot sleep tonite. I do not need to sleep Wed night. I'll sleep all day Thursday No fears. No regrets. Good luck and speedy recovery to all!

I get my shakes at he pharmacy at the hospital. Call the company , give them your zip code and they. Will tell you what hospitals in your area carry them. New direction supplements Robard corp Mount laurel. NJ

I am Oct 3 as well. Am half way through liquid diet. Pounds are falling off. Last night I was so excited I couldn't sleep. Can't wait to get up an get on the scale in the morning.

Laneyb Good luck. You will be great. When I am not eating around other people I tell them. " I already ate". They think I ment an hour ago. I know I ate in the 70's, 80's,90's and most of this century. YOu deserve to be happy. Go for it!
