Be open and upfront with them. If they are not understanding then its time to reevaluate your friendships... Our support group is I think next Wednesday the 20th! At least for the time being surround yourself with a good support line.. Maybe they are jealous.. But maybe they are just uneducated on what your dealing with. Either way.. It's about you not them, so don't let them make it about them!

hairloss from lapband or cancer?? if you meant from cancer then.. Im in remission 4 years on March 5... I was very lucky not to lose my hair per say but it did thin out and looked dead.. But my hair started getting healthy again about 6 months later. if not disregard lol

what are u snacking on? i think now is a time that u "have it out" with yourself'! its hard the first couple of months because our bands have not been adjusted yet and our diets are based on will power. I have definitely noticed.. that if i eat my 3 meals a day at my allowed portion.. im not as hunger as i thought i would be.. in between my nutritionist said to have a Protein shake to feel full if i still felt hungry.

3 words to remember Adjustable... Replaceable... Removable And No matter which WLS surgery you have. If you do not follow a good diet and do the work.. You will gain the weight back!

I was told.. "It may push the food too quickly" but mostly it can make you feel a "false full", resulting in more hunger between meals. I was told 5 minutes before meals and 20mins after

Post op*** oops down 35lbs. (Wooooooooohoooooo) . Just got my first fill and other than almost passing out when I seen the size of the needle.. It really wasn't bad! Almost hit my march goal so I think I'm gonna have to change it from 240 to maybe 235!

I never understood why people say your being rude when your telling the truth. Just because its something you did not want to hear doesn't mean it's rude or wrong.

I actually went outside to play in the snow!!! Good "not-so" exercise session!

Luckily I don't have this problem.. When its something I really like and know (at one point) could have completely devoured.. I measure or weigh my servings and then put it away.

I love bacon.. 2 pieces of table bacon is approx 70 calories 4 grams of fat and 4 grams of protein.. Some diets like paleo include lots of bacon

The fill wasn't bad.. I almost passed out from the size of the needle but other than that it was fine.. Down 35lbs! But my god.. The traffic was unbearable!

:start rant: Not only am I nervous as can be because I am getting my first fill.. But it's snowing! Again!! Anytime I do anything related to this band.. Some storm comes and hits NYC.. this is becoming a pattern -first appointment - hurricane sandy (that actually damaged the hospital) -surgery - blizzard -post op appointment -severe thunderstorms -fill - snow/sleet storm Now I have to drive and dodge idiots that lose their minds anytime the weather changes and taxi cabs.. Good times grrr ! :end rant
