  2. My surgeon actually gave great advice.. Order a steak closest to a filet mignon cause its the most tender and order on the rare side so it's less chewy.. Small bites and chewed for at least 30 seconds.. Then. 30 second break between bites! I did just that at "longhorn steakhouse" and I was just fine!

    weighing oneself

    I weigh daily.. I love seeing how my body reacts to what I ate and my activity level. I'm mentally secure enough to handle the numbers not moving so it doesn't discourage me.. Each person has to figure out what specifically works for them... I'm a cheese freak.. Always have been.. So as long as u incorporate ur cheese into your daily diet.. Then go for it! I do lol

  11. In addition to seeing your surgeon and a nutritionist, I would also suggest a therapist. (Not in a bad way) but Having a great mental plan is just as important as the physical plan!
  12. My abdominal skin is firming up nice as well as my inner thighs.. However, my Tricep Areas are not. I had loose skin there when I was thin.. It's genetics and I've come to grips with the only way that area will firm up for me is through surgery

    Banded 2 months

    I had 2 fills.. And I'm at. 5ccs... Exercise... I've been doing things like Zumba, playing soccer, and running after my 2 year old son all day. Lol I'm staying away from weightlifting for now because I bulk up really fast so I try to do some cardio at least 2-3 times a week

    Very simple advice... Follow the rules!! I do exactly what my surgeon and nutrition told me to do. 1 cup of food or 3oz protein and 2oz veggies 2-3 times a day.. 1 protein shake on gym days.. And plenty of water!! It is very hard in the beginning. Yes it does feel like the end of the world.. It does get discouraging.. But it does pay off!! Your band is only going to work if you enable it to!

    The sleeve fails too.. So if that fails your screwed anyway.. But just a little info.. If your band slips, leaks, or erodes.. A majority of insurance companies consider that a medical emergency not an additional surgery. Andddd As u can read on this board, people that were banded years ago, lose the weight, gain it back, then 4-5 years later.. Are starting their journeys over (with the same exact band) just by adjusting their fills and eating a proper band diet. You can seek a second a opinion sounds like your surgeon prefers sleeve for his own reasons.

    Ok that changes everything., drink a protein shKe within 30 mins of your workout.. You will start feeling better and instead of doing the double session.. Try one day to do some H.i.i.t training which is high intensity interval training.. Great for endurance and fat burning.. 20 minutes of that will equal to about 2 hours of cardio but you won't be over doing it.. One of the most important aspects of exercising is rest As to calories being increased.. I would consult my nutrionist.. Because personal trainers are not educated in nutrition , as they should be.

    Your most likely over training.. Workouts should really be no longer than an hour - 90 minutes in 1 sessions.. Double sessions which are used for athletic training or body building should be no longer than 45 mins per session example: Leg Day - Morning: Quads - Evening: Hamstrings & Calves or Chest & Triceps - Morning: Chest - Evening: Tricep Rotate each region each day The purpose of a double session is to work out a muscle region for optimum results by not over working the region. If your not giving your body adequate rest and nutrition your doing all that work for nothing. I would suggest getting a trainer to work on a proper work out regimen for you so you don't waste your time, get discouraged, or even worse, hurt yourself.. If you can't afford a trainer ( like right now I totally can't) there are many fitness forums that you can get some really good advice from. I even had a very nice personal trainer give me a work out schedule to start off with for my body type for free! Also for weightloss you should look into circuit training and h.i.i.t training. They are GrEAT for burning fat.

    How many days a week are u doing "double sessions"?.. Your body might be trying to tell you that you're over training.
