So far so good. I had my first "meal" today. I was full with 2 sips of a Soup and one sip of crystal light water! I wasn't allowed to eat yesterday but I wasn't even hungry

Do any of you eat and take a drink of your liquid at the same time? Or do you first eat, wait, then have your liquids 30 minutes later? Or how long do I wait to have your liquids after you eat?

I just had my surgery yesterday and today will be my first day sipping on clean liquids along with taking nibs of jello. I'm scared on how my stomach is going to react. Any suggestion on how to handle my first sips and bites?

How long do u guys take after eating in order to drink? Anyone do both at the same time? I hear you need to eat then wait 30 minutes, then have your drink? How do you guys do it? -

You're gonna do fine! Just make sure to walk as much as you can't and ask for pain medication when necessary since they have certain time frames for it.

I'm feeling great and I can't wait to shed some pounds. Not going to lie, 3 hours post op I was very nauseous and my chest felt like it was going to explode. When the pain meds kicked in, it was all gravy baby!

I'm out! Feeling great! At first my chest hurt due to the gas but with pain meds I'm good! Nurses are nice and friendly

It's been I've 8 hours since I got it done n I feel great! A lil weak but other than that I'm good!

Hey guys! I'm a doctoral student that will be having her surgery on Thursday and have an assignment due Sunday. It consists of a lot of research. Will I be able to work from bed or will this task be impossible? I told my professors about my situation but didn't ask for extra time being that my surgery has already been switched once and they had already extended my time once.

So today I registered for my Thursday surgery! I'm excited, nervous, and a little bit of every emotion left! I spoke to the batriatic RN and anesthesiologist today so I was put a little bit more at ease. Any tips, suggestions? What should I take for my overnight stay? Any tips overall are appreciated! -
