I think some people just don't want to do what it takes to be successful. They expect the band to do it for them. They are not really mad at you so much as they are projecting their own feelings onto you that way they don't have to take responsibility or admit that they are the problem. They know it can work it they follow the rules and you are probably just a living reminder that the problem lies with them and not the band.

If you want an accountability partner or someone for encouragement to share the journey with let me know!!

I am doing it and just finished week 5...running for 20min straight! Have never ran for more than 2min straight before this program. Would you believe I did it!?!? Its amazing how easily your body can adapt and how quickly! Its the best feeling ever and I am not a runner! I say try it!!

I have been doing the couch25K program and let me first say that I am not a runner! Never have been. I am not that person who can get on a treadmill and "forget" after a while that they are running. If anything, the longer I run the more I am aware that I am running. However, yesterday this girl ran 20min straight with no break. HUGE accomplishment in my books!!

Random Thoughts, Ramblings and Questions

I feel like the longer I have my band the less I understand it... A little background info: Banded 2/6/13 with a 14cc band Surgery = 4cc 5/14/13 = 0.5cc 5/23/13 = 3cc 7/10/13 = 0.8cc Before my last fill I was experience some tightness in the mornings. Since it is almost like I don't have a band at all. I have only experienced one "stuck" episode and this was sometime between my 3cc fill and my last fill. I have never been one to throw up and I can only remember doing it twice. Once from nerves and the other alcohol. Which makes me wonder...is this why I am not experiencing more stuck episodes. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to have stuck episodes, but I also feel that I am overeating and eating to fast. I don't eat as fast or as much as I used to, but I know its more than a cup per serving. My concern is not so much weight loss related as it is damaging my band or stretching my esophagus. For those of you who are in the green zone...Does it take your hunger away or just your desire to eat? I only ask because I don't really want to eat most of the time, but my body is telling me I need to. Since surgery I get extremely sharp pains in my left shoulder if I let myself get to hungry. It also seems like my hunger comes on all of a sudden. One min I feel stuffed and the next I could chew my arm off... So this leads me to wonder if I should get a fill or not. I assume the tighter I get the more likely I will be to damage my band from over eating. However, will being closer to the green zone assist me with not overeating?!? I know the band will not physically keep me from over eating, but assist with the desire to over eat. Does that make scene? Ugh... If you can understand my ramblings and feedback would be greatly appreciated. *Sigh* -

Thanks ladies for all of your words of wisdom! It does help!! Guess I should go ahead and schedule that fill. After all - whats the point in having the band if I am not going to utilize it to its full potential. Is it weird that I get sad sometimes when I cant eat more? Guess that's the food addict in me. I think secretly (well - not so much now) that is why I haven't scheduled another fill. Fill = less food. Boo . Guess that is my fat kid coming back out... -
It is most likely water weight. You would have to had consumed around 10,500 calories to gain 3 lbs. Unless this is the case, no worries. Just keep doing what your doctor has advised and make sure you track everything you are eating. Sometimes we don't think we are eating that much until we actually sit down and add it all up.

Are you exercising at all? I don't really monitor what I eat, which I am NOT recommending, I just eat way less. However, I do exercise and am 5 weeks into the C25k program and the scale is still trending downward! -
I don't know that it will increase your weight loss. I guess it could allow you to remain fuller longer, but 83lbs in 9 months is an amazing loss!!!

I have had the UP band since around January and I love it! Awesome design, User-friendly app, etc. I will say that I have had to have mine replaced more that once, but the process was quick and easy. Call them up and they ship the replacement right to you immediately with no questions asked.

Can I just say that I LOVE this program!! My weight was at a stand still for about 1-2 months, or so it felt, and since I have started C25K the weight seems to just be falling off!! I just started week 4 yesterday and am down 7lbs. That may not seem like a lot in 4 weeks, but this is the only change that I have made and honestly it wasn't until this week that it really got challenging. So for anyone who needs a little boost in their weight loss I highly recommend this! Let me just say for the record I am NOT a runner! Never have been. I LOVE playing softball, LOVE it, but learned early the harder I hit the ball the slower I could run. Plus you get to run a few feet and then take a break, who wouldn't love that, right? I wouldn't even play fast pitch in high school, just stuck to my slow pitch summer league because in high school they made you run, blah! People always say, "I love running...It helps me think and clear my mind"...my thought, "I cant think about anything aside from the fact that my big a** is running, lol". However, this program has helped me learn to semi enjoy it. It builds you up slowly, you can go at your own pace/speed and before you know it the pounds are falling off and you are running for 5 mins straight

It is a wrist band that you wear that monitors your steps, activities and sleeping patterns. You download the info to an app on your phone. You can also use the app to track you food. It allows you to team up with other people who have the band to encourage and cheer each other on. Attached is the link to their website. They can be purchased online or at Bestbuy. http://jawbone.com/u...CFcyY4AodJg4A5wn.
