Anyone having surgery with Dr. Joya??? I've been researching him and he has a lot of great reviews, yet, I haven't seen mention of him in these forums....

Okay... I need some help. I was absolutely wild about Premier Protein prior to surgery. I could drink them no problem. I had an ounce of one today, and it made me want to gag. Not so much the taste, but the consistency. Are there any alternatives to protein shakes (and please don't say Greek Yogurt!!! Can't handle that stuff either)....

Three meals a day... No snacking!?
kimikat3 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Was anyone else told to follow this for the long haul? I was reviewing my bariatric surgery binder and noticed that stage IV (final stage) states to eat three meals a day, spaced out 3-4 hours from each other, without snacking in between. I'm sure it's the old fat girl in me that finds this to sounds difficult. Are you guys able to carry on throughout your day without having food outside of your three standard meals? (When I say Snacks, I don't mean chips and candy... I mean nuts or cheese...) -

CONGRATS!!! What an awesome accomplishment! -
I'm 6 months post op and my husband has decided that he wants to file for divorce. I've read that the statistics of this happening were pretty high before I had surgery, but never imagined I would fall into being a statistic. There has been no solid "reason" for his request for this, all I have been told is that he is no longer in love with me and hasn't been for a while. This news was broken to me a couple of weeks ago. I am down from 233lbs to 147lbs, size 20 to a size 10. I thought my journey through my weight loss would be something so magical and so memorable, yet, it's been completely overshadowed by another life changing event. Talk about a new life... I will be starting completely over now. New body... New mental/emotional outlook... Has anyone else been down this road???

Thank you. Time will make this all much easier to get through. I have went through my initial shock time... My grieving/angry stage... And I'm now ready to move on and do what I need to do for myself and for my daughter. I have been blessed with such a wonderful support system through my friends and family with my surgery, and they all have been supportive with all of this as well... I have no doubt that everything happens for its reasons... There are brighter days ahead.

I just posted a very similar post! I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through this. I too have been very much blind sided with this same devastating news. It's so very hard not to take it personal and wonder what I did wrong, or what I didn't do right. I started therapy this past week because I was having major anxiety/panic attacks. I could barely make it to work and get anything done. It's been absolutely devastation to say the least. Just know that you are NOT alone in this....
