I have been struggling with my weight since high school. In the last year I have failed myself tremendously due to the loss of the father of my children. He passed away from brain cancer in 2010 and the loss didn't hit me hard till 2011. Since then I have suffered from Major Depression and weight gain of 80lbs. I'm not sure if the gain is from the medication I'm on or if it's from the depression but I have hit rock bottom. So I decided that I wanted to make a change and I needed help to be consistent in my journey. I chose the Vertical Sleeve Gastric procedure because I think it will be the best route for my situation. I don't want all the maintenance that comes with Lap Band and I like the fact that the sleeve removes the hunger hormone.

I'm just getting started on my journey but I am very excited on where I will end up!!
