  1. Wow. I feel like a fraud. This is not advise because it seems to be the opposite to most of the other replies. I don't count calories or weigh my food. I eat what ever I cook for my husband and family when they come around. I eat off a very small plate, protein first ofcouse, then veg including small amount of potatoe. I give myself permission to have a taste of what I want. Most times because I knowI can have it I don't have it. I'm well into my 60's and have arthritis and 4 protruding discs in the lower back, from being overweight for 40yrs, so exercise is limited to walking. This approach has worked for me for more than 2 yrs now. I love my band and we have a good partnership. I wish you well.
  2. I'm sorry you are feeling that you have failed somehow. I'm 2yrs3mths post op and I have lost 27kgs. That means I have added years to my life. I m happy now if I loose .5kgs a month. You have to live with your band. The two of you are partners and both have to work together. I sometimes have stuff to eat that I should prob not have but that's okay, just don't do it often. Maybe if you could go back to the start again and try to get that excited feeling when you had when you decided to take control of your life. I wish you well, never give up, you lost 30lbs you can do it again.
