Went in to get my band checked today thought I would share my X-ray incase any of you curious to see what the band looks like I am at 3.5CC [ATTACH]25863[/ATTACH]

About 3-4 days after surgery I've noticed I could eat a bit more and hungry more often I havent had any fills just got banded the 18th is this normal? Dietrition said it is just wanted to see what everyone else has experienced ..

Thanks everyone! I believe we need to be patient and train our self/mind that we don't need food.

Oh okay I guess maybe the swelling went down? And is causing more hunger? I don't have my post op appointment till the 11th of February I can't wait I wanna get the adjustment, or that is what I say now Good luck on the appointment

So you know how after the diet you are suppose to be put on the liquid diet for the first 48 hours the the apple sauce jello etc .. well is there any risk of skipping a couple steps and 4 days after the surgery you eat mashed potatoes shredded chicken?? Honestly I have had it already and I feel good I am not throwing up or anything just feel full quick which I know is normal ..

Jewelsm thanks that is what I was thinking to ask the Dr first he gave me a call about 30 minutes ago I missed it but ill call him back tomorrow. -
Hello all banders I just got banded today I feel great with pain but what is there to expect you have fresh wounds and adjustments to your stomach. I have back pains I've walked alot today I believe its from the gas I can't find a way to burp it out or fart it out I feel grumbling in my stomach but that's it any help? I've tried gas -x and still the same ..

Thank you all!! I feel awesome What happens if we "advance the diet " as in when we start eating jello we eat whole foods? Like chicken? I just had chicken 4 days after being banded and I feel fine besides getting full quick.... -

Thanks I never thought of a heating pad as I lay here in bed now I feel my stomach grumbly alot but nothing comes out. I'm gonna really have to try the heating pad! -

I feel you completely! I was not really educated on the band and just got banded today 01/18/13 I had alot of scares I did SOME research not much and found out about the fails of it but I was successful thru it I'm sure you will be great! Keep a positive mind and keep us updated!
