Yes I had the revision, but lately I have found that water bombing helps to restart your sleeve, pouch regardless of its size you should consider this before further surgery, just google water bombing for dummies. -

Converting from Sleeve to Bypass?
superslim replied to snowkitten's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I will be four months out on the 23rd. I had a rough start not because of the surgery itself but because I got pneumonia and became serverly dehydrated was basically miserable the first month. That being said, I've lost 30 lbs (which puts me 10lbs from my goal) It's slow but that's expected. I can eat anything/everything and my portion size is really much larger than it should be for someone who has had 3 surgeries! But it's the mgb that keeps me losing. Nothing and I mean NOTHING I eat stays with me too long. I'm in the bathroom A LOT! sometimes as many as 8-10x a day. It's worse when I make bad food choices but really with a 9' bypass even good foods pass through pretty quickly. I've asked others and not everyone expereinces this and it's not really dumping (though I have had that too) because I don't get sick with it or sweat or stomach cramps at least not often. Hope this isn't TMI but it's worth knowing I think because I wasn't prepared for it to be like this! I will try to answer any specific questions you have... Who is doing you surgery? My same surgeon is doing my surgery in Belgium, paid by myself like yourself, Been doing a lot of research on it and I think it's the way forward for me I'm scheduled for October 12/15, I can't give up now I've been through too much, sleeve didn't work for me band did but way too much trouble even thou I loved it,so I take it you are happy you went ahead and got bypassWow, your story really does sound like mine! Yes, I'm happy, no regrets so far. Haven't had my labs done though but I am taking my Vitamins. The weirdest thing for me is that even though most days I literally have no restriction and can eat average portions, sometimes i get stuck and it feels exactly like it did with the band! Small bites and chew chew chew has always been a struggle for me that sounds good to me as long as it works, I expect life change with wls and I'm prepared for it, I have no problem chewing or staying on mash foods forever lol, do u feel hungry at all? -

SLEEVE TO BYPASS REVISION
superslim replied to MissLaLa05's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Got banded 4 years ago achieved goal weight quickly was very happy until it slipped, I changed to a sleeve revision one year ago regained all my weight, No restriction with sleeve, now I'm getting a mini bypass in October, any views would be appreciated. I live in the U.K. So our health service doesn't cover wls so all surgeries have been privately funded. -
Your thoughts on my success to have sleeve earlier than 12 weeks post removal of Band
superslim replied to petaloshea's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My body was like a dried out sponge, just before I got the band revision to sleeve at the same operation 13 weeks now, it quickly absorbed muscle and water not much fat to increase my weight by 30lbs. -
I was told the first 10 days are crucial.
-
Yes I had camera down and bavarium swallow, camera didn't find anything but swallow showed a very much slipped band, that's when I realised I had to get the vsg revision.

Band to Sleeve patients lose less?
superslim replied to kjd612's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
my surgeon told me that after my revision, as I was at goal weight with a slipped band everything is great now except that I loved the restriction feeling as I don't have that anymore, I'm only 8 weeks out and I'm looking forward to restriction in future possibly January I've been told. -

Lower-end BMI Sleeve Surgery. Any others?
superslim replied to Kevineastwest's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes sleeved successfully, my body in starvation and dhydrated with my slipped band, as I wasn't able to eat or drink much without vomitting, so when sleeved I guess I needed fluids and food straight away and I was ready for solids in no time. -
Lower-end BMI Sleeve Surgery. Any others?
superslim replied to Kevineastwest's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi zanes mom, yes I have gained since my revision 8 weeks ago, I was hungry straight away after surgery and no amount of liquid would fill me went to solids within the 1st week, think I might have stretched my stomach . -
Lower-end BMI Sleeve Surgery. Any others?
superslim replied to Kevineastwest's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sleeved at 27 bmi, but it was a revision from a slipped lapband on the same operation, since then 8 weeks later I have gained 22 pounds, with little restriction I would easily eat 3 kids meals a day, got into a bad habit with my slipped band as beer was one of the few things I could tolerate, I guess it's time to diet again lol.
