The suggestions here are good. As soon as they pulled the oxygen mask off of me when I was in post-op recovery room I had a couple deep coughs. It hurt like hell but cleared me out very well and I could breathe much better! Good luck!!

I hate this feeling. I have so much that I need to do and feel like crap/weak most of the time. I have finals at school right now, work is crazy busy, had to stop mowing after I cut the front yard today because of feeling weak/lightheaded. This diet sucks. Hopefully this feeling goes away soon. I still have to mow the backyard, write a paper, go shopping for a B-Day party that I'm going to tomorrow and the most fun of all WORK Lol. Oh well, sorry for being so negative. Today is day 6 of pre-op diet, my dietician told me the weak feeling would only last a few days. I'm not finding this to be true....

This quote is so true!! Often I hear people complaining of not seeing a drop on the scale (understandable!), but they do see results in how their clothes fit etc.. Then, they get a positive outlook because of the loss in inches and what do you know, the scale starts dropping!!!!

Depends on where your soreness is. Personally mine was gas pain (shoulder/neck area), and incision site soreness. The incision soreness will go away with time (you can take whatever medicine your doc gave you or allows to help). The gas pain can stick around a while. The best thing BY FAR is walking. Walk as much as you can, this will help tremendously. It took me 6 days to stop having gas pain. Some people it's faster, some it's slower. It's hard to say, everyone's different. Good luck!! This may be the reason that I haven't had a probl going. I've been eating refried Beans, sour cream and cheese regularly! Lol

I was always curious what the incisions would look like. So if you are pre-op and curious, here are my incisions 48 hours after surgery! I have some drainage but not very much, mainly from the port incision (directly above my belly button).

I am a week post-op and I have it occasionally. I am on purée foods and I'd say about half of my BM's have been diarrhea the past couple days. It seems to be pretty normal. Hopefully it goes away soon for all of us! Good luck!!

Good luck!! The pre-op diet is tough but worth it! I lost 16 pounds on mine! Congratulations on getting your date!
