I'm on day 12 of the 2 week diet, I have this weird metal like taste in my mouth today, anyone know what it's from??? I noticed it after my cucumber snack about 4 hours ago, I've brushed my teeth, drank diet Snapple, nothing is making it go away...

My surgery is at 9:15 tomorrow, OMG!!!!! I'm down 14 lbs with the pre op, I'm hoping for 1 more lb to reach my personal goal of 216 before surgery in the morning!!!!! Wish me luck, and I'll post as soon as I can after

I am on a multi vitamin 4 big chewables everyday, I've got to get some lemon-thx!!!!!

Cullychick-don't worry, I was down 12.5 lbs and gained a pound yesterday, this has happened twice now-I think I should only weigh once a week, too much fluctuation daily to be counted as real weightloss or gains!!!! Tuesday is almost here for us, yay!!!!!!!!

Congrats thin! I'm loving hearing all these banded stories & am looking forward to what you guys go thru the next few days so I know what to expect next week! The hospital called with my surgery/arrival time today, it's getting really real now!

Hey guys! I'm loving hearing from all the newly banded peeps & keeping up with you guys, I'm going to start a thread for us on the post-opp forum, I'll call it March 2013 bandsters, hope to see you all on the other side!!!! Less than 1 week til I'm banded OMG!!!!!!!!!

1week from today at this time I'll be on my way to the hospital to get banded, please let this week fly by!

Anyone els have a bad taste in their mouth from the protein shakes? I found the best thing to drink today, diet Snapple 1/2 ice tea 1/2 lemonade, felt good to drink something besides water or protein shake!!!!

On day 5 of pre-op, I think I'm finally getting used to it! I lost another 2.5 lbs yesterday making my total weight loss so far 8.5 lbs, my goal (set by myself) is 15 lbs, before surgery on 3/12, making myself the smallest I've been in like 4-5 years! Yesterday we went to outback & I ordered a 6 oz steak, only ate 1/2 of it & broccoli, I think going out helped myself realize I got this, I didn't eat any bread or a fully loaded potatoe, & I STILL LOST weight yesterday, yay!!!!!!!!!!

What's the Endo? Are u talking about endometriosis? I have it severe, but my surgeon hasn't mentioned one thing about it, I'm 10 days from Surgery!

I'm on day 4 of my pre op (2week) liquid diet, I'm sooo hungry & going brain dead by the day without fuel! My Dr keeps all his patients in the hospital overnite, and after reading about the vomiting stories I'm kinda glad! My preop is 2 protein shakes a day then 4 oz of meat/cheese/eggs & vegetables. We r going to outback for dinner & I can't wait to eat 1/2 steak & some veggies. I wonder if I can have a salad?

I have a tough time following the rules as well! How long will u be on liquids? Day 3 post opp I can start puree's.

I'm on day 3 of pre op diet, I'm down 5 lbs & have surgery on 3/12, another 11 days of this diet, yikes!!!!!

Started my 2 week pre-op diet today, 1 day late just because I wanted one last day to eat whatever I wanted!!! Did great today, it's mind over matter at this point-we'll see tho how I feel tomorrow;)

My Dr told me 1 egg=1 oz

Just to clarify: I wasn't picking on any one place in particular I was just expressing what has made me feel more comfortable & what gives ME peace of mind!

My surgery is 3/12, I start my liquid diet in 1 week, not looking forward to it:( I have to do 2 8oz protein shakes a day, 64 oz of water a day, 4 chewable vitamins & 200mg of CQ-10, I can also have 4 oz total of any meat cheese or eggs! I'm a sugar-a-holic so I'm expecting MAJOR headaches right away. My doctor sells their own shakes that I mix with water I got Camilla flavored & plan on mixing in orange crystal light, I'm hoping it tastes like a creamsicle...

I'm insurance paid, however my surgeon required a psych test, cardiologist apt, and a breathing specialist visit for ALL patients as they won't operate unless you have all those clearances! This gave me a lot of peace if mind b/c it made me feel like my surgeon was VERY thorough & not just trying to turn & burn procedures to make money! My first apt was in Oct, I'm scheduled for Surgery next month, my choice, I could have done it this month (my Dr schedules a month out). If they have openings for a few days later for surgeries I'd be worried, good surgeons are in high demand and therefor have about a month wait!

So I had my 3 hour class at my Dr's office today where we had to pick out a flavor of protein shake powder, the choices were: Chocolate Mint Chocolate Cookies n Cream Strawberry Vanilla I was totally unprepared & picked Vanilla?!?!?!? I did over hear a woman saying you could mix in crystal lite, has anyone done this? Or have any ideas what I can add (flavor wise) to get thru this hellish 2 week pre opp diet???

I'm scheduled for 3/12, my Dr keeps everyone overnite, I'm very happy as the last time I had a surgery (laporatomy for endometriosis) I was back in the ER later that nite from the gas pains in the shoulder!
