I had gastric bypass surgery in 2005....was 303 and lost down to 193...went from 20/22 to 7/8...my 3- 4 th yr out i started gaining bc i was no longer doing things i had done when i first got the surgery so for the last 3 yrs ive been trying to lose the xtra 70 pounds ive gained. So I opted to have revision surgery of lapband over bypass.. I took a while to go through the process, then after i was done with the process my insurance denied me and i appealed it.. I got approved and had my surgery on Jan 7th 2013... Now am five days post op and not feeling a lot of restriction, my family said the surgeon spoke to them after surgery and sd that he filled my band.... now how much he put in idk but compared to my gastric bypass i can drink and eat without any problems... ive been on the liquid diet two weeks prior to surgery and to date. But yesterday for some reason i wanted to see if solid food would give me any problems , so i fixed a small grilled piece of tilipia and i had no problems... so am like i know my pouch was small before surgery and i feel its a lil smaller now but i was expected a lil more restriction than this... day 1 after surgery i had alot of gas pains so gas x and mylanta was my friend, day 2 much better, can eat and drink much more, day 3..still a little gasey but still drinking my liquids, day 4...went back to work and still ok with drinking and eating jello...day five..cant believe i can eat a piece of tilipia... so now i know! am getting back on track and staying on my liquid diet bc its up to me now, this is my 2nd wls and this time am gna reach my goal and keep the weight off...
