    ? for PCOS women

I have pcos and have definitely noticed a more regular period with weight loss. I used to get a period once every blue moon and they'd be super super heavy, now I get them roughly every month and they typically last 4-7 days. Obviously regular periods equal regular ovulation so I'm hoping to try and have kids once I lose another 40 pounds or so. Exciting!

    Help!!

Once you heal you'll be hungry again and will be able to get in more calories. I was probably 4 weeks out before I started feeling hungry. Good luck

    Stoped loosing

Happens to everyone. Keep eating healthy drinking water and exercising and inevitably you will lose weight. I was stuck for three weeks on the same weight, I know it annoying and frustrating but I find if I change the amount of calories and varieties of food I eat everyday it helps me lose small amounts but more consistently.
  5. I'm type 2 diabetic. Pre op I was on metformin and Byetta injections. I no longer require medication to control my diabetes, this happened pretty much a week or so after surgery. My last hba1c was 4.9 which is considered non diabetic
  6. I've been burning anywhere from 600-850 calories a day working out. I'm only eating about 600-700 calories. I figured if my BMR is somewhere around 1800 and I'm burning 800 that's 2600 calories that I'm supposedly burning then there's a deficit of 2000 calories. I've been stuck at the same weight for 3 days now. The reason that its so important that I keep losing consistently is that my work has recently introduced bmi in our medicals. A bmi over 40 and your declared unfit for duty, anything between 35-40 bmi and its doctors discretion whether or not you are declared unfit. If you have underlying factors such as diabetes (which I do) or high blood pressure etc you will be declared unfit. I am bordering on 39.8 bmi and my medical is in a week so a bit stressed and disappointed. I know I won't get to 35 bmi in a week but I wanted to get down as far as possible
  7. I've been going to the gym everyday for a week now but I'm totally exhausted afterwards. I try not to have a nap but I feel like I can't function. Has anyone else had this problem?
  8. I know and ill definitely keep it up just wanted to know that it gets better thx
  9. Yep started a week ago but I thought it would have started getting easier by noe
  10. Yep thx for the advice
  11. This morning I woke up feeling a little tight ( has never happened before) but because I read on here that it happens to some people I thought it was ok. As I was drinking my coffee it felt like it wasn't going down right but still I thought it was fine. I went to the gym and the whole time I felt nauseous and like something was stuck. I came home laid down, got up same thing. So I started worrying that maybe my band had slipped. Finally I rang my dr who advised me that something is eaten yesterday had probably irritated my stomach and had caused it to swell slightly. So it's back to liquids for 48hrs
  12. Just annoying Becoz I don't know what I did to irritate it.
  13. My doctor half filled my band during surgery it's only a small band though like 6cc. I find I can eat everything slowly with little difficultly, so I probably won't get a fill when I see my dr on the 20th of feb. Also I don't think if you get an unfill you will gain, your bands too tight you need to be able to eat the right foods. If your bands too tight instead of eating Protein and vegetables you'll have to resort to slider foods which don't give u the same sense of fullness. So in my opinion an unfill will assist in your weight loss not hinder it
  14. If your not losing try upping your calories for a few days and then dropping them again. Kick start your metabolism. Drink more Water...you may be bloated. Up your workout intensity or duration. Also don't forget it's normal especially at the beginning to not lose coz your body is healing but try changing your routine a bit, the body adapts quickly. Not sure what your 1000 calories consist of but maybe try adding more Protein and less carbs. Protein is harder for your body to break down so in every 100 calories of protein you eat it takes 30 calories to digest. I know it's frustrating but change it up till you find your grove. Good luck!
  15. Try upping your exercise. That boosted my weight loss

    Morning Tightness?

I have never felt tight in the morning maybe it's because I start off with coffee and then eat breakfast maybe it loosens the band. Don't know but works for me.

    When did you...

I watched these videos on YouTube by dr Paul obrien who says that it's ok to drink alcohol (obviously in moderation) he says wine is probably the best because its not carbonated. Maybe ring and ask your doctor but I think if you stick to one it should be ok.
  18. Three shakes aren't enough to promote weight loss. Don't get discouraged! I was complaining about the same thing for weeks then my doc pointed out that because I was consuming so little calories that my body had lowered my metabolism so as not to expend too much energy. Once I started mushy food and upped my calories a little I started losing again, plus I've also started gym so I'm losing more consistently. So don't lose hope it's normal and you will start losing just be patient and follow your dr instructions

    Food Question

My doc put my on shakes straight after surgery I was only allowed three. If ur dr says its ok then it must be if your not hungry don't eat though, maybe just have done water on the hour your not hungry

    Random

I definitely do! I was complaining about it just the other day...no idea why though
  21. I find if I'm hungry for a snack I have lite jelly or lemon Water it usually subsides but if you feel hungry after a short time you probs need a fill
  22. I just started going to the gym. The first day I did only 15min treadmill and 15min on the bike. Yesterday I did 55min on the treadmill and today 65min. The more I go the easier it'll become. I don't just wanna lose weight I want to be healthy and fit. I struggle to find the motivation but when I weigh myself and see results it pushing me to go. Like people have said you don't have to go to the gym. Do something you enjoy, maybe a sport or swimming anything where u have fun.
