Like many I have battled with weight since college. I would yo-yo and become frustrated. In 2008 I decided that I was going to beat this thing. I worked out with a trainer, was running and exercising an average of 4 days a week with typically 3 hours of exercising. Then the weight started coming back one as I had to cut back on exercising because of school activities. Within 8 months I was right back where started. 2009 is when I considered the surgery and started looking into it. My Mom passed in May of 2010 and it was devastating. I then added another 25 pounds when I reached my all time high even including my pregnancies. So that brings me to where I am now. 2 years post surgery. And here I am.
I was 6 pounds from my goal within 9 months. I had lost 60 pounds and have put 30 pounds back on. It seemed to start with a new medication that I since have stopped taking. I stayed with the same program since I had such success but have only gained. Very frustrating!
Surgery was 3/2010 followed by a hysterectomy 8/2010. 11/2010 I was 6 pounds from my goal!! Finally success!! Ran my first mini with my sister, 4 other 5 k's and then the weight started coming back on. I put 15 pounds back on in one month. Counting calories, watching carbs, seeing the nutritionist and frustrated beyond belief.
May 2012 I had a horrible experience with my first overfill and think that may have freaked me out just a bit. All the fluid was removed for 3 months and it has been downhill ever since. Psychological block? But definitely frustrated!!
I wish I would have found this website 2 years ago! I guess when you get new gadgets you start looking for more supports.
