Sleep Study Tonight
hockeymumzie replied to Shannalee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use a full face mask. The nose ones just never worked out for me. Plus my bipap levels are 21-19 so i really have to tighten my mask up so it does not leak. Is just a pain in the butt. Jessie -
My out of network is only 1000, but i will ask if they can use it.

Since my insurance won't cover the majority of the bypass i will then go the sleeve route. Just waiting to see what my cut is. My surgeon won't do self pay bypasses but i don't blame him for that at all.

Tomorrow i meet with everyone to get this process started. Meet with the physc and lord not looking forward to that evaluation. I'm prob nervous for nothing. Meet with the dietitian, surgeon, ect. Called my insurance about criteria and stuff and the lady could not find any. I was like what! So i guess i will find out when they contact them. Any who excited to get this rolling. Jessie

Surgery date: 2/19/13 TX
hockeymumzie replied to D2.0's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Its that painful gas. I hate it. That's one thing in not looking forward too. In not worried about the pain, if i can survive shoulder surgery i can deal with anything. Of all my surgeries that one was the most painful. -

I realize every surgeon and nut is different. But when i see what people post what they are eating, like all the starchy carbs you have got to be kidding me. I've known so many banders and rny who failed themselves by eating the things that got most of us plump to begin with. I'm a carb freak when I'm not on my billionth diet, so i know when i get this tool i have to use it to the best of my potential for the rest of my life. But us it really ok to eat chips and bread, come on am I missing something here??

I'm on prescribed potassium because of cramping, I'm allergic to high potassium foods. Over the counter does not absorb well my doctor says. Looks like i will be smashing these up after surgery because they are horse pills.

Take a deep breath. Insurance companies can be a pain in the butt. Mine waited to the last minute to approve my much needed back surgery. I was in pre op and had to have my surgery pushed back six hours. It took my surgeon calling and getting nasty with the approval nurse. Don't give up. I would call them again and again. Ask them how many days can it take. I know its easier said than done, but don't give up.

Welcome I too am beginning this journey. I have six hours of appointments on Monday. Surgeon, dietitian, ect. So best of luck.
