A few post-op questions
hockeymumzie replied to MrsJB's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did not have gas pain from my gall bladder surgery, nor when i had my ovaries and cysts removed. But when they took my uterus out holy balls i thought i was dying it hurt so bad. I swear she did not try to suck most of it out after my procedure. All the other ones did a great job. Jessie Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using RNYTalk -
Moist wound healing?
hockeymumzie replied to groovykg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to do a moist wound care on my ankle. But that was only for them to see if they would have to cut out the yuck post the wound line. It hurt like a bat to the knee. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using RNYTalk -

What's the hardest thing for you to give up?
hockeymumzie replied to hockeymumzie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love popcorn but it does not reciprocate. My daughter is having me put a list of no no's on the fridge so she can keep a eagle eye on me. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using RNYTalk -

What's the hardest thing for you to give up?
hockeymumzie replied to hockeymumzie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have sensitive teeth so that's why i use straws in mostly all drinks. I've given up dt Pepsi before so i can do that easily again. I told my husband just be prepared to see different things in the refreshment fridge, also he drinks coke products and i can't stand them so soda is going to be no problem for me. Jessie -

I started looking into to wsl in 09. The surgeon i wanted at the time was only covered by 50% by my insurance. He was out of network by 16 miles and they would not budge. The place they would cover i refused to go to because they did not have a good track record and were not a coe hospital. We ended up moving because of my husbands job, so along came new insurance. Went to yet another seminar for a new surgeon and i felt like he was just pushing cattle through a chute. That was fall of 2010. 2012 my husbands employer dropped wls from the policy but added it back this year so i jumped on it. Ended up deciding on a Dr in Bismarck Nd and loved his vibe and personality. I worked in a hospital for 12 years and you can start to know a Dr by his demeanor. I live up by the Canadian border so no matter where i go i have to drive for hours. I'm thankful he is almost four hours away, most of my specialists are 5 to 6.5 hours away. I've failed in dieting most of my life. Never had a weight prob growing up, it started after i had my two daughters. I could loose 40 and gain back 60. But the last two years due to some illnesses i can't loose weight, i can gain it but its hell losing five pounds. Sorry for the rant i got carried away. I'm just so darn happy and keep pinching myself to make sure its really happening. Come on April 11! Jessie
