I had my gall bladder out in Dec of 09. So many years before my RNY. Mine was at 0% functioning and finally after years in the er a new surgeon asked if i had a scan, within second of the solution going through it i was in so much pain, had it out the next week. The attacks were so painful and your trying to breath and you can't. I sure as hell do not miss that. -

Sounds like gall bladder, i know you don't want another surgery but you don't want it to get so bad that it feels like your dying when you breath like i did. -

I hear you. I've had sleep issues all my life. I was diagnosed with the apnea when i was in one of my thin stages, but i rarely wear the mask at night because air fills up my stomach causing bad tummy pain. It's not that i have allot of apneas I'm a shallow breather.
-
That's me i will hit rem about the time i need to get up. Mine has nothing to do with my sleep apnea.

Pre-oper afraid of drains!
hockeymumzie replied to futuremrsparker's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The drains are nothing to be afraid of. I've have several for various surgeries. The only one that bothered me was the big one in my shoulder and even the morphine pump tube that stayed in for a couple of days and it was not painful just a pain in the butt. You will do fine. -
