Hi everyone I'm Melissa. I'm form Labelle FL. I'm pre-op. Ive been on my journey for almost 2 years.. Im now waiting to test negative for h pylori then i can get my surgery date. I would love to meet people snd start a support group in this area. Look forward to meeting yall!!

Ok so im at my 2 week post op follow up and they just weighed me.... drum roll.... im down 44 pounds!!! So happy! 44 pounds in 3 weeks!!! I know its going to slow down dramatically now but im really excited over this loss.

Hi everyone! So tomorrow makes one week post op and im doing ok. Not really taking pain meds. Im walking around the house hubby is scared for me to walk the block by my self we live in the country so no close neighbors. Ive been able to eat 2 ounces of soup at a time for two while days now.. but im not really hungry for soup.. today i drempt i was eating food woke up thirsty but still not hungry. Guess im just tired or liquids and im ready for pureed foods.. oh well one more week!

Hi guys! Finally getting to check in. Surgery went good slept all day yesterday afterwards. Today i was able to walk a.little farther than to the bathroom and back but due to vomiting and dizziness thanks diludid.. haven been able to much but sleep. Held down 3 sips of beef broth and a little cranberry juice so im feeling better. Good luck to all who are scheduled tomorrow and today!

Im glad i found this site. Its nice to have supportive people to talk to that actually know what you are going threw. not just saying they understand but are actually understanding.

2 days left and every where i go i smell food that smells soo good... uhhh.. i will be strong! I got this!!!!!

No she knows neither mu hubby or me want to be around his ex. And if she was trying to feed everyone she would have cooked enough for everyone not just the ones that live there. But i showed her i stayed strong and drank my protein shake. Then when i got home had some beef broth mixed with v8. My hubby on the other hand had words with her. Thanks for all the support. Im glad i have yall to talk to.

This just got extremely difficult. My mother in law invited us over to welcome back my soon to be sister in law and nephew. Said it was just going to be family nothing major. We get there not only is my husbands psyco ex and her drunk mom there but there is so many of my favorite foods. I wanted to cry!! And yes she knows about wls and liquid diet.

Thanks i thought maybe i was getting sick.. god forbid... glad to know its not just me. Im on day 5 of 7 and the headache is killing me as is the upset stomach...

Just a quick question. Did any one have an upset stomach or were you nauseated during the whole liquid diet prior to surgery?

Briefs199 no problem. The premier is good. I also like the pure protein.

Ok so im on day 4 of my 7 day pre op liquid diet. Im not as hungry as i thought id be. Although cooking for my family and watching them eat foods i loved is not easy. But i know i have to do this. Surgery on wednesday...

My nut told us to.stay away from atkins.

Pre op liquid diet starts today. Feeling nervous but excited too. Surgery next Wednesday.
