I got banded on 3/17. I think I cried on day 3 too. It's really tough. I haven't cried since though. I think it's different phases you go through. Tomorrow I'm on to puréed foods so it's little milestones along the way. I keep telling myself in the end it will all be worth it. Hang in there. You know that this is the best decision you made for you and your health!

Thank you. Today is day 3. I slept through the night which was a god send. Today I feel ok!

I am in the middle of the same right now. I told my boss that my gallbladder was removed and plan to tell them that I know my health has been in a decline and this has all been a wake up call. I only got banded yesterday. Good Luck to you!

I just got banded yesterday if you want to be band buddies. I was supposed to get banded in November and that fell through but now I am officially banded. My name is Erin.

I was supposed to have my surgery Monday but I have not been on in a few days because I was super upset and disgusted....my surgery got postponed for a few weeks because they found an infection in my urine when I went for my surgical pre-testing. They gave me an antibiotic that I have to take for 2 weeks and then I have to see if it is cleared then they will re-schedule me. I don't know if I am going to make the November cut off I was literally in tears in the doctors office. So disappointed but it is not something I can control so I must grin and bear it. Congrats to everyone who got banded!!

Well not sure if Isagenix (the pyramid scheme cleanse shake craze) is big by you but that's what I'm telling people at work. You have to have 2 protein shakes and a meal at dinner which I don't eat at work. I have told my mother - step-mother and 3 friends that don't speak to one another or even know the others know. Good luck!!

That's great. I do have one and am definitely going to go there. I have beautiful hair down to my butt =) and don't want it to fall out either =( so before I even discuss protein I want that Biotin!! I have already been taking it in capsule form.

Thanks for the reccomendations. I go to pre-testing (what ever that is) this Monday the 28th - and surgery is the 11th - I plan to ask them questions as well in regards to my protein intake. Good luck with your band!

For those of you that have started liquids... What are you doing? I tried it yesterday and drank a ton of water and 2 protein shakes through out the day. The protein shakes were a little rough. Looking for other reccomendations and what protein shakes have some of you gone with? I bought Body Fortress off Amazon. It has decent reviews and the price was right. Per 'scoop' is 30 grams of protein? Stupid question: can you have too much protein? I don't want it to make me gain weight.
