Well, the first thing which comes to mind...what are you eating & drinking? I'm on a restricted diet of protein, which small portions of veggies & fruit. Protein basically rules the diet. I continue to drink the protein shakes for a meal or two. And consume plenty of water, water is essential.

Okay, I've lost 30 lbs so far. I asked my hubs, is it noticeable that I've lost, and he replies, yes. So why is it when I see someone, they don't say a word. Like, you look good, anything. But nothing? Its a downer. :| Well, I guess I should be happy I know. I feel better, and more energetic. O.o

Kassie, i think I agree with you. I have people in my life that probably have watched me loose and gain. I won't be their "fat friend" anymore either!! Woot woot!!

Hi, the oats! hahaha! And yeah, I was working out this morning and listening to their noises! I can't wait for the pain to vanish! Thanks !
-
* oats - should be jeans! Hahaha. I hate auto correct!
-
Lapbandit - I've only lost 30 so far, wait until your oats get baggy. Someone stated earlier, when you are wearing your regular clothes, which might be baggy, people can't see your loss until you are wearing something different. I think the other day at work, some people might have noticed, and they didn't say anything. But, I'm not going to let that get me down. I know I am able to fit in the next size smaller, and without lying down to zip em. And I couldn't do that 2 weeks ago! Congrats on your weight loss. Losing weight is not an easy task, it's a constant struggle. We took this step to get there. I know I'm not going back to a larger size. I packed up all my stuff that is too big, to make sure I don't slide backwards. Keep up on your good work!

Ajtexas, you made a very interesting point! What I've noticed is my clothes are baggy. I've changed my wardrobe to accommodate this. But, what I haven't noticed, is a smaller me yet. I still see the weight, the rolls, the blubber, the yuckie me. Maybe what I was looking for was someone to constantly say how great I'm doing, as a booster to what I'm doing. When in fact, I should be telling myself this. I guess I don't need anyone else's opinion but my own. Any compliments I do receive, are bonuses! I'm going to try to view this differently now! Thanks so much Ajtexas! You really helped me see a different angle! And thanks everyone too, all your replies are much appreciated. They also have helped.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences. I think one person, has said something. I just got into a size smaller, and wearing it. I had saved my jeans. I guess I wanted people to notice. I'm gonna try to hang in there. I still have a long way to ho.

Yay!! Awesome job!!!!! -
I love the crab made from whitefish. It's low in cal, and good. You can cut it up and add a little mayo, just like Subway makes their Seafood & Crab. It feels like a treat.

Don't guilt yourself. There might be an occasion where you need to eat, but the choices aren't the best. You had pizza and a wing. Really except for the dough on the pizza, it's all good. Drink your Water, and make your next meals better. Of course don't do it all the time.

See... You knew deep down inside what you need to do! Keep going! You're doing fabulous!

Drink your water! Think of it as your melting juice! It will help if you're doing everything right!

Oh, WATER! Drink lots of water! -
Exercising, if you aren't already. Also, expect plateaus. But don't allow them to give it a reason to stray from your diet. Look at your diet. Fall back to what you were eating at the beginning. It will come off. Be patient. Be positive, look where you are!!!!!!! Congrats!

Hi! All I know, quit carbs! They give you the hungries! I was told by my doc, if all else fails, start from the beginning. Go back to what you were first allowed. It does take some control on your part. I'm still new. I hit my 2 mo anniversary next week, I've lost 30. No starch. No fruits, potatoes, chips, Cookies. Use a shake for a meal you can skip. Try to walk, some form of exercise. You can do this. And don't wait until Monday, start today! Hang in there. It's a slow process. But we didn't gain over night either. Good luck -
Started Pureed Foods!
Roscoe368 replied to nikawill99's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I needed something more than yogurt. So I had lots of eggs, in every way you can imagine. Aldo cottage cheese was good too. Hang in there. It does get better. -
Counting down the days

Yes, my doc said they raise the liver. As for eating, first you blend everything. I ate slot of scrambled eggs & cottage cheese. And yes , you are supposed to take smaller bites and chew longer than you did before. You'll be fine. Good luck!
