3rd times the charm! Missouri anyone?
twinmomma posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is my 3rd time starting the process for surgery. The 1st time I found out I was pregnant with twins, 2nd time I found out about my husband cheating and divorced him losing my insurance. This time I've made it! I officially have my surgery date of November 16th. I'm excited and nervous. Anyone else live in Missouri? I'm having my surgery in Columbia Missouri and love closer to Springfield, would love to find a few people to become friends with that are going through the same thing. -
Doing good here. 2 weeks out so far so good. Get staples out tomorrow and on stage 3 of the diet.

I'm curious on recipes as well, just about to hit pureed

Poop (Literally, and TMI, obviously)
twinmomma replied to sonnysun's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes, I'm thinking so though not sure to what. I have some flax seed I think I'll have to try it and see if it helps. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't a constant feeling in my bumm of needing to go. .. I know TMI sorry lol -

I have somewhat the opposite problem. Starting Friday (5 days post op) I started having the urge to poop with very little very solid results. Same with Saturday come Sunday I had 2 painful but successful BM'S and this morning officially one week post op have already had 2 good sized formed movement's. I'm very confused because I'm still strictly liquid for another week but I now constantly feel like I have to poop -

Any November surgeries?

Well had my surgery yesterday and though there is alot of pain it's definitely manageable. I've been up and walking since 2 hrs after waking up which has definitely helped the chest pain. The only issue I've had is that the kitchen brought me a regular jello instead of sugar free luckily I noticed before I took a bite! Be sure to double check everything! Good luck to those having surgery coming up, I've heard of people having regrets right after, so far non here! -

Monibaby18 I'm in the same boat as you. My surgeon never said how much he wanted me to lose. I lost 7 lbs I'm week one of my liquid diet but now it's at a stand still. My surgery is on the 16th and my insurance expires on the 29th. I've wanted this for years and this is my last chance for a long time. My worst fear is being opened up and them not doing it -

Brapril714, bren111015, ready2droppounds how are you guys doing? How did surgery go? -
hcslvarado, I start with a protein shake in the am w 8 oz unsweetened almond milk if I have a "snack" before lunch time it's either sugar free jello or sugar free popsicle, lunch is generally beef broth or strained chicken noodle soup. Followed by a second shake for dinner. My nutritionist wants min 65 grams of protein a day and no less then 65 oz of fluids a day. It's very boring and bland I've heard of people putting unjury flavorless protein in there broth so they don't have to do just shakes ( I highly recommend because after day 3 of them I couldn't even stand the smell. ) unjury sells a sample pack on there website for $21 has multiple flavors. I was scared of the liquid diet as well, I have very little will power when it's come to my cravings in the past. I personally have to look at what the biggest thing I want to do after losing the weight is, for me that's getting married so I look up wedding dresses every craving I have. You guys will do great! Day 3 was my hardest is gotten a little easier every day since.

From Springfield here (well Lebanon) have bypass November 16th -
Hcslvarado I envy you! I started the liquid diet on the 2nd and my surgery date is on the 16th
-
Trust me I know it's not easy, my cravings are all over the board today but we're nothing yesterday
-
Artballer eating during the liquid diet raises the risk of your liver not shrinking enough which raises the risk of them having to do the surgery open or worse aborting the surgery completely. Definitely stick with it, it's temporary for your future.

November 16th here as well! In Columbia Missouri

Thank you, I'm finally going through the threads I've avoided it for months figuring it wouldn't happen once again -
I think my bucket list would include water skiing and dancing like everyone's watching for all the right reasons

Hi, Im Janet and im new here. I've recently started the process to get the band done and change my life for my 3 month old twin boys. currently im covered by not only my husbands insurance blue cross blue shield minnassota and my mothers blue cross federal, however my husbands company is selling and he recently found out the insurance will switch to blue cross blue shield idaho. I know every policy is different but i was wondering if anyone out there has had to deal with idaho and what the process was for them as well as how difficult it was to get approved ( or denied) Thanks for any help
