I had BCBS and it was an easy process....although your BMI is a little low...I thought DR. Roye said that you had to have a BMI of 40 or above to qualify...have you seen your surgeon yet?

Hello Ladies, oh wait..I mean Shrinkin Violets..lol..thats so darn cute!!! I definitely can sympathize with all of you.... ~the BM's where are they??? Grrrrrr..... ~the eating of regular food when your suppose to be on full liquids ~the losing of sleep..zzzz ~the gas pains..ugh ~the loose skin..ewwwww ~the hunger pains...ouch ~no restriction....not good..lol Thank goodness I see my Surgeon today for my follow up..i have sooooo many questions!!!!!!! Best of all.......I get to see how much HIS scale says!!!!!! whooohooooo

Hi guys....its been a few days since I posted but havent really felt like sitting at the computer at all. Today I feel great. Just a little uncomfortable and last night I FINALLY slept in my bed with a pillow propped under my tummy:clap2: :banana OMG it felt so good to finally be in my bed and not sleeping in my living room chair!!!!!! I have a little bit of gas pain but walking takes that away. I came off my meds becuz they made me very very loopy, my hubby said I was sitting in my chair nodding with my tongue sticking out :notagree . As far as food goes....ive eaten only broth, jello, popsicles, crystal light and water. The broth got really gross so I took the campbells soups like chicken noodle and veggie, added water to them and strained all the noodles and stuff out of them and just ate the broth...much much better...probably more sodium but I cant do the other stuff any more!!! Tomorrow I start on FULL LIQUIDS including protein shakes, yucky! As of today I have not been able to get any protein in becuz everything I tried was DISGUSTING, including the FLAVORLESS protein powder...its sooooo not flavorless!!!! My doc said to not worry about it for the first week and wait to drink the regular shakes this week. We'll see how that goes... And holy crapoly...I got on the scale this morning and I weight 254..is that possible...31 pounds? 10 pre op and 21 pounds in 7 days...WOW...I had to get on the scale 3 times before I would believe it!!!!!!!!!!! Any whoooo.....im babbling ....sorry..... GOOD LUCK tomorrow Tracy and everyone else being banded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My thoughts and prayers are with you!!!!

Thanks guys...I actually was able to "eat" a lil more this afternoon with not as much pain. Hopefully, it will fully go away in the next couple of days. Hydration is a worry becuz I cant drink that much but im sippin sippin sippin...and sukkin on the popsicles!! By the way, protein in soup is absolutely disgusting! Any suggestions????

Hi all, im home. got home yesterday. They ended up keeping me an extra day becuz of the pain and I was also very nauseous (?Spelling). I have a question..im a little concerned becuz I cant drink much at all. Little itty bitty sips and they feel like they get stuck. Im concerned that ill get dehydrated because the feeling is so painful that I just take a sip or two and I cant take any more for at least half an hour. Someone please tell me this is normal?????

OMG....I woke up this morning and OMG I only have 2 days until im banded. First thing I thought about was....what can I eat? ha ha ha...better get it all in now while I can....Thats so bad. I got over it though and now im just nervous as H E Double Hockey sticks!!!! I wasnt too nervous before but now IM FREAKIN! I cant wait to lose all this weight but on the same token..im scared to death! Ive eaten so badly for so long, can I be successful? Will I do this the right way? I want to succeed. Anyone else having these fears?

Hey everyone....its been busy busy busy here at work....darn phone wont stop ringing! anywhoo...ive finally caught up on todays posts....its so nice to see everyone keeping us posted! I have to say, im getting more anxious by the minute...is it me or is this week creeping by...it feels as though it should be Thursday not TUESDAY!!!! lol ' Michelle--I feel for you... I would have DIED if I was denied...but like everyone is saying..dont give up hope, you will get this!!!! Everything happens for a reason, maybe its just not the right time! Tracy--Dont sweat the pizza..heck..i can eat 4 or 5 slices in a sitting...so you done good girl...lol Laura---we dont have steak out here in Rhode Island....but it sure sounds delicious!! lol Im going to GNC tonight to get my protein....looks like flavorless is the road im gonna take for now....we'll see.

wow Sara..you lost 13 pounds in ONE WEEK!!!!!!!! Holy Crapoli....lol....and Tracy is already eating FOOD, only 5 days out!! Thats so encouraging. I have to admit that I have been up and down about my surgery, but hearing how successful everyone is has been a real motivator for me. Good luck everyone!

Im assuming DH has something to do with your significant other..lol..im not up to par on all the abbrevations yet!! My hubby was a lil reluctant when we first discussed it but he has since come around, he says im gonna leave him when i get skinny..lol...hopefully hes just kidding, cuz he should know I would never do that..lol...men are a weird species arent they? Yah it seems somebody always has someting to say..its sooo friggin annoying!!! Ive just come to a point where I dont tell anyone anymore about my surgery. Everyone thinks they are the expert ya know? Anyhoo...I have 11 days to go..im gettin a lil nervous but still very excited. I was looking in my closet today to see what I can start wearing again after I start losing, that was very exciting!!!! Thank you!! I did buy some of those shakes last night..just didnt know they were called EAS..lol...duh jullee. As for the whey...im on the hunt...lol...i have to say i had gotten quite annoyed last night with shopping for everything, looking at labels, carbs, fat grams, calories...protein..whey...OMG...there is just sooo many different forms of everything out there!!!!!:think :help: :faint:
