Hi everyone! Anybody know if liposuction and the sleeve can be done at the SAME time since one will be under anesthesia anyway?

Well, Lapband is gone! Actually feeling pretty good considering I had the surgery yesterday morning! Now looking into the VSG....

This coming Wednesday, February 13th, I'm having my Lapband removed. I'm really not happy about it, but I need to have it done. I had it put in February '08, and the first six months were great. I started having symptoms after the second fill, when the acid reflux and the pbing started. I was filled and unfilled countless times, and the last unfill I had, August '10, I was told that it needed to come out. Unfortunately, I was having MAJOR problems at work at the same time and the stress was unbearable. I think it may have contributed to these issues with my band. I managed to gain all but ten pounds of the fifty I had lost since getting the band because I was pretty much COMPLETLY unrestricted. I since was fired, unable to find a job and now for the past two months, I pretty much have been on liquids and very soft, mush foods. I lost twenty, which isn't a bad thing, but the band is bothering me ALL the time. I feel acid reflux in my throat and have a constant lump. I'll be going to another doctor to have it removed, who very graciously is doing it pretty much last minute, and hopefully be able somehow not gain back weight. He offered to do the sleeve at the same time, but I feel that the inflammation and scarring will be too much. I hope everything will be ok. I'm kind of worried.

I'm going to need mine removed as well. I tried as hard as I could, and no matter what I did I just couldn't tolerate life with the band. I'm actually waiting right now for the doc to respond to me exactly on what day to do it. I'd have it done right away, except that my dad is having surgery a week from Tuesday and I need to make arrangements for my dogs to be taken care of and see who can drive me to the clinic and back. Very frustrating. -
I was banded in Feb '08, (Dr. Ortiz) and for the first eight months, had no problems with my fills. After that, however, I had to be filled and then unfilled numerous times, due to being TOO restricted and terrible acid reflux. (The last fill/unfill was in July '10.) I also started having problems at work around that time and the stress was unbearable. I wound up getting fired in September '11 and have been out of work since then. I have no income (other than UI) and no medical insurance, and it looks like I'm going to have to get my band removed sooner than later, as I'm still experiencing heavy, heavy sliming and pbing even though I have NO fill in. I've been using meat tenderizer to be able to eat. I'm thinking that I may be eroded and have scar tissue, as from what I've been reading on this forum I've experienced many of the same symptoms other bandsters have had. I'm so very heartbroken over having this done, and I'm going to have to find $$$ get this done in the next month or so.
