Not one regret except I should have done it sooner. I love my new band I have been off my Asthma medication for a good 2 months now and I just cannot believe it to this day Of course I still carry it with me just in case but I feel so good about myself and the choice I made.
-
Jen, I had the same thing happen to me I did not have my first fill until I was six weeks out but before that time I had restriction and learned to listen to the signs that I was full as well as portion control. Just listen to the signs your body gives you and remember to chew, chew, chew and smaller bites. I still forget to this day especially if I have skipped a meal. We learn as we go

At my vist today they took some black & white pictures and showed me what I use to look like right before surgery and where I am today. Did not need a fill today and am in good spirits with my loss.
-
Alex, You look wonderful and so young. Great Picture of you smiling

I was away from the board for a couple of days and seen this post first but did see the famous Purple Bra with my morning Coffee (cheating). Yep sure is purple I dare not wear one with color in my house my DH would get ideas.
-
Best wishes Delarla, You know I love that Glove and what is with the purple Bra? I'm sure for those of us who do not know the story behind it would love to know. I am glad that you are getting this resolved so fast and that Dr. Kuri is willing to get it done ASAP.

I have BCBS PPO of Nebraska but live in Colo and did not have a problem at all. Prior to seeing Dr. Johnell I even changed my PCP Dr. to be sure she would back me up if needed.

Finally posting some pictures of my own!

WTG Heather, You look awesome. My son who is 7 loves to sit and look at the before and after pictures with me and when he seen yours He said you look very beautiful and so do I. -
Teresa, You should really report anything that is cause for concern from the accident. The seat belt might have rubbed against it on impact and you did not notice but you should bring it up to your PCP and the Dr's you are seeing for the accident just to be on the safe side.
-
Thank you all could not have done it with out the support from all of you with the quick tips as well as the do not do threads. No Delarla I do not have all the pics yet that they took I belive they are getting ready to put together a profile of where I was and the why I choose the band as soon as I get those I will put them on this site. Again Thank you all - this site is the greatest part of my Journey to know that I am not alone...
-
Nancy, My prayers are with you and your family. I hope that your brother calls you soon to say that he is ok.
-
Lauri, Just read Becky's post I hope you can find an answer to what is going on I am so sorry. Praying for your recovery..
-
Hi Sharon, You did such an awesome job with your loss. Congrats Welcome
-
Lari, I am surprised that your PCP did not do an EKG when you complained of chest pain and tingling on your left side. The minute I called a few years back with chest pain they got me hooked up ASAP to see if it was my heart. Please get back in there ASAP so that you can find out for sure what is going on and not second guess it could be serious or it could be minor but you will only know when you go.. Keep us posted I hope you get an answer soon.

Chrissy, I am so sorry to hear you lost your band. Do the Doctors know what caused the erosion? What were your symptoms if you do not mind me asking.
-
Theresa Marie, What a Great Christmas Present. Welcome home and get alot a rest You are a Beautiful Butterfly Already

I am going to make a appt with my PCP and see what she thinks of my symptons and ask her if she can get my gall bladder checked out. I just had lunch and took it really slow this time so far so good. Thank you

Thank from Me also Michelle, In the past I would resume eating after a PB episode not anymore I actually had one last night completly my fault I ate some cheese and Salami here at work won't do that again. Well last night was a little better I adjusted my chair in the late afternoon and on the drive home adjusted my seat. The ladies here at work think it might be my bra maybe I need more support but I already have underwire and I seem to be doing ok up front. I do use this blue gel when it gets really bad it is like Icy Hot but that is only short term. I will try Tylenol did not know it came in liquid for adults. Wow where have I been. Jack, My Chiro did tell me as I lose the weight my body will start to re adjust and of course I will feel the change and need to be adjusted more. I have another appt the end of this month with him. The pain started about last week never remember having it before the surgery. Nancy, I never thought it could be that I was full but now that I think back It did start after lunch I will have to watch and notate when it starts and when I have eaten to rule it in or out. Then watch how much I eat. Thought I was doing good with portions. Thank you all so much.

Babs, I also am losing my hair it seems I am leaving it on anything and everywhere. I have to actually vacume the bathroom everyday now. Unbealivable! The Doctor said for me to add more Protien but that is not working thus far so I am going to try the Nioxin Shampoo like Leatha added. Babs Let me know if you find something that works for you.

Merry Christmas, What a great Present and a added plus for the New year to come. -
FYI Kim thought you would like to know about the support sites in the Denver area. There is a local support group here of patients from all different docs. We meet on the second Saturday morning in Aurora, or the fourth Monday evening at Rose Hospital. It is an awesome group, run by the wonderful Flori, and several other great bandsters. For more information, join the coloradobandsters yahoo group. Maureen, My fills seem to kick in 2-4 days from the time I get my fills. So far I am doing fine on this last one but have noticed I can eat just a tad more but I do have restriction so I do not over eat which a blessing at this time a year. We just got in one of those big party trays and OMG all the cheeses and crackers last year I could have devoured half of it but so far have just had 2 crackers and a little cheese spread.
-
Hi kim Welcome how are you feeling? Hopefully you well have some restriction here in the immeditate future. They usually say you know for sure by 2 weeks have you talked with Paula yet? She is real good at doing my fills has never missed so far and is usually so fast I do not have time to worry about the needle I have met Steve but I really prefer Paula I am justso use to her. I did go to the Party for a bit Tuesday night it was quite nice but I had to leave early since it is a work night. All the staff was there and Dr. J as well as the rest of the staff. Wish I could have stayed longer. Well back to work for me

OMG Tonya I thought My husbands family was the only ones who did that. Last June we went down my Mother Inlaws house to visit and they started fighting over parking spaces and before I knew it they were brawling in the front yard. My husbands Mom and her 3 grown sons with each other then my Sister Inlaws joined in. I could not believe they were fist fighting with each other. Granted the police had to come and stop them and they all got tickets I got my husband to stop trying to seperate them cause my kids were watching this so I took them to the back yard when they were carrying on. Needless to say they still are pretty mouthy with each other and you know certain hand gesters are still exchanged.

Hi all, I was reading this on another of the Websites and thought it could be of help to those needing fills.. I copied it so I hope I won't get in trouble for doing so. I just got off the phone w/my surgeon and was told about this new program. The company is called "Fill Center USA", they help clients find fill DR.'s in their area. The cool thing is once the DR signs up w/their program all patients going through here only have to pay $150 per fill and the 1st fill is free, you still have to pay the office visit. This is a great service for those of you who had your surgery outside of the USA. The phone number is 1-866-345-5872. I hope this helps everyone trying to find a fill DR. Per Cher
