Congrats to both you Ladies.

Wow I am so glad that I am not alone. I love to use the word Fricken Frack or Bull ___ but I really have to watch my mouth at home cause my boys pick it up very fast.
-
Vines, Like everyone has said you are not alone we were all there at some point before our surgery. Just hang in there and take it day by day.

Chicago boy He is a cutie. My son is 3 1/2 now and when he was born went directly to the neo natual unit. He swallowed the meconium and was put on oxygen till he was 3 weeks. We took him home after 4 days but each child is different and even though your sister has a different road to take than most people the Lord will be by her side as well as the whole families. My son had trouble latching on to the nipples we went and bought every one out there that would be my suggestion is try them all one is bound to work. We thought my son had downs he various test done but nothing showed up. They say he could have a touch if that is at all possible but we do not love him any less. He has been getting physical as well a speech Therapy since he was 6 months. Now he is enrolled in a early intervention program with the school and he attends twice a week. I see so many downs children out there that they live a good life and are no different in my eyes than other child. I heard once that the Lord only gives the special children to Special parents. Believe me I know I am not one of them but he brings so much joy to us that I would not trade him for anything in this world. Will keep you all in my Prayers

Good Luck Shamrock hope everything works out. My mother inlaw has so many problems going through the change well she is still going thru the change. It has been over a few yrs when she has her menses she actually has to wear a baby diaper. I will have to read up on the Pre cause I thought it was something that just happened. My mom takes some kind of pill that she says they are pulling off the shelves??? Well another thing to check into cause if it's patches I will have them all over my body to never feel the way I did that day. Good thing I had clothes on cause when I was running for the door I did not even worry I was in a robe let alone with out anything on.

Here is a little history of what is going on. Mother Nature seems to be visiting more often than usual lately. Seems every 20 to 25 days or so. In Jan I got somekind of attack weather it was Panic or hot flash do not know. I was in the the Bathroom and the heater came on while I was sitting there on the throne I felt warm then warmer then just dang hot, the floor seemed to get nearer and I thought I was going to pass out. Did I mention that my heart started to race and could not catch my breath. I ran to the front door stood outside in the freezing snow and waited till I could breath and the hotness went away. Now all the while my kids bless their heart are standing there with me. I felt horrible (I am 41 going to be 42 this year I think) I mentioned it to the Dr and he thought that maybe (not to insult me) that is was a start to the change. So here are my questions 1. What age do you normally change at? 2. What should I expect?

Trace, You hit the nail on the head. Extra hugs and cuddles is what he has been asking for I just did not put 2 and 2 together but I have been spending more time with him re asurring that throught no fault of his own this is the way he is and it's ok we just move on. I was the same on the eating but here as of late I just leave food out so that he can eat when ever. Pam sounds like you have such a great time with all the kids. We went to Lubbock TX over the weekend and he did really well I was impressed.

Wow Nana that is all very interesting. I am a boring mom who works outside the home and I lurk on other band groups but do not post. I lied I actually joined Spotlight but am to shy to say anything. My kiddos take up all my spare time or running errands does. I do love to fish when the weather is warmer actually took them out to the lake on Sat other than that we go camping quite a bit. Bought a trailer last year cannot wait to use it this year.. Oh yeah addicted to Ebay. I like to buy the little lucky Bamboo plants and arrange them in new vases with rock or natural stuff I find outside. Just remembered my Money Frog is coming today from Ebay.

Ohh Paula so sorry to hear that. Are you good with the evaluation? Are you going to get a second opinion?

I felt the same way Queen. I kept my size 24s for the longest time even tried to wear them then came my co-workers comments on why in the world I would refuse to get rid of them. So came the day I gradually started sorting them by what I could get away with wearing that did not look funny and traded the ones I could not possible wear cause they were falling off. I took them down to a gently used clothing store and traded them for a smaller size and that is where I am at today. Gradually you will be able to part with them. I kept thinking too that one day I was going to be needing them.. It't like a security Blanket at least for me

I love the Wizard of Oz - I just Love to see Judy Garland. Love Grease you know John Travolta & love to see Stockard Channing. Yep like all the Lord of the Rings Trilogys too. Joined Net Flix so that I can now see more movies.

You are so right Pati I have read and heard different stories about Strattera and the affects of wearing off or actually working so far we are still in ther trial stage I say. Just keeping close contact with the teachers and monitoring him everyday.

yep he does have the Hyperness going on. Good - is that he now will stay seated the majority of the day at school no more ants in the pants or wondering from his desk. One example would be when we had the first Doctors visit he was literally under the table rolling around on the floor. Now this last time he picked up a book and sat calmly on the table looking at the pictures. Blurting out and just plain talking has really come down to where it use to be making weird sounds and just talking out loud was a huge problem. Concentration has improved he actually gets what you are talking about rather than having to go over the same question 10 times. (not kidding) Home work now is a breeze more organized. His self esteem is getting better before he use to say he was a bad child Cause everyone told him that. I have pointed out there are no bad children just children making bad choices. Eating has picked up he eats all day long but he is thin so right now it is ok. Now the side affects - Things I have noticed he is really sensitive at certain times. Might cry for no reason expecially at school this has happend 2 times. Talked with the school counslor about this. Seems to get the chills more easely now days. Has the school approached you regarding your son? Have they actually put together one of their charts for you to take on your visit? I Sincerly feel if you have had no prior problems with your son in school check into alternatives rather than having his teachers push medication. Could it be his teacher or something that has recently changed in school? Hope everything works out for you Paula.
