I've been banded since Dec 26, 2012. I'm glad I didn't think about it too much before surgery or I wouldn't of done it:-) My daughter was banded 5 years ago and is maintaining 125 lb weight loss. She is doing so well, the cowardly me decided it's my turn. I want to be around to watch my grandkids grow up and to be active with them.
I'm borderline diabetic, high blood pressure, severe sleep apnea, and developing coronary heart diease. I have a wonderful husband who is very supportive and has seen me through every crazy diet imaginable. I have 3 "perfect" grandchildren ages 14,13 and 11 and don't want to go to bed every night wondering if I'll wake up. I sure enjoy this forum and appreciate everyone taking the time to write your words of encouragement. I'm looking forward to getting to know you better through this journey. God Bless, Vicki
