Today I had my 2 week post op appointment and I'm down 24 pounds from pre op diet stage. I also started on mushed foods. I'm so full I think I need to really pay attention to portion size. This is such a big adjustment but I'm ready for the challenge. -

I think most doctors would rather you call when in doubt rather than not. This is new we have questions that need to be answered don't be afraid to call. That what the nutritionist and my doctor told me. I understand about the trail and error part because we are all different and heal different. Good luck! -

I'm 12 days post op and for the past 4 to 5 days have been sleeping in a bed and on my side. -

I slept in a bed for the first time last night. This morning I realized I'm having a problem with the protein shakes. After two to three sips I get a pain in my left side and back. Live and learn. -
Were In the same boat same thing happened to me I am learning I can tolerate yogurt runny cream of wheat sf Popsicles sf Jello and Protein shake. I can tolerate Soup right now it gets me gagging like today which I threw up and that started acid reflux and the hiccups/burps. Everyday is a learning process. Best wishes

Maybe I ate the wrong stuff today but I do know I'm still quite a bit swollen tomorrow I will start again I know the band is ok because I had X-rays and a cat scan on Tuesday. I will have to be more careful. I'm also on full liquids and not clear anymore -

I feel full I was fine this morning on clear fluids when I was at hospital I get home try to eat soup and it goes down hill I'm frustrated I don't know what to do. I'm 6 days post op and had 1.5 cc removed yesterday -

I'm 4 days post and had lots of pain on my left side port side from trying to get up off of the couch myself. I now have my parents help me up and I'm drinking tea. Also with the gas my family has been massaging my back while I sit up in a chair which helps alleviate the gas pains in my back on the left side. -

Great post I needed this answered. Also are you tight in your port area? I don't feel hungry and my stomach feels tight -
The doctor already was aware that I was throwing up. He gave me a steroid and Pepcid to stop the acid reflux and to help the inflammation go down. Today I'm on day 2 of clear liquids and I'm going to do one more day or clear liquids. My breathing is getting better and everyday seems to get better but I just wanted to know of anyone else suffered from this in the beginning and how you made out.

Did anyone else suffer from acid reflux when they first got the band? I got the band on the 24th , 25th was throwing up and yesterday night/morning had acid reflux.

I had to call the dr today to make sure I could tame Pepcid I suffered through the night so my throat hurts quite a bit. I am questioning my decision because I am in constant pain. Also I keep burping like crazy and getting up to walk. All I can say is ouch -
I have been belching today and when I do i feel like it might be acid reflux or something. Did anyone else experience this?
