I like the poster just randomly found out the Toronto office closed. I’ve been banded since 2014. I ha two sedulous because I was having gallbladder attacks but my GP told me it must be the band. I’m now back Ron 210 pounds after getting down to 149lbs and stuck paying $300.00 for a fill. The response email said that they keep your credit card on file for when you want a fill.... i haven’t had any problems related directly from the band. But I’m very nervous to get any fills again. I was at 3.5 cc’s when I had my de fills. I’m curious how much they will put in at first and how much I will have to pay out of pocket again. I paid full price when I had the surgery initially.

I have a surgery for removal of my gallbladder on the 26 september. I would say that if I didn't lose so much weight in such a short time I would have. Developed gallstones so I would say yea and no. But my worries are getting my gall bladder out. And my digestion changing has anyone had any problems after the removal with the band?

I have been having chest pains on and off (spams) since oct 2012 3 no this after I was banded my family doctor doesn't help at all he keep giving me perceptions for renatadine, nexium, tectra etc. Ive even had three defills since I got my band. it wasnt until this past weekend that I finally had something done. It was the worst spasms I've had lasted almost 24 hours and full force pain. I finally managed to get Into the car so my husband could take me to the hospital. They did chest X-rays and and gave me morphine for the pain. The emerg doctor said he thinks I have gallbladder stones. I had an ultrasound today and I hopefully will have results this Friday. I don't want to have to get my band out but I can't take this pain any longer either. I hope things work out better for you and you get some answers soon!!

It sounds to me like esophogeal spasms I just encounter 4 hours of it today horrible pain it takes your breath away and the area that your talking about an the feeling sounds just like it. I was banded in July 2012 and I started having them in October so basically unexpected severe pain once or twice a week for the last 9 months. I'm at the point where I'm so sick of it I want my band out but I paid out of pocket so I feel like I would be wasting so much money to do that. I plan on getting my second refill this Thursday and hopefully there will be some improvement.

My does the same thing something about pressure and nerve endings being close to the band it's a normal sign " hard stop" that means your past full and you've eaten too much I usually lay down when it happens ( if I gave that convenience) and it goes away quicker just make sure you have a couple soft pillows behind your shoulders. If it doesn't stop you should see your doc.

My nurse told that coughing is generally a sign that your band may be too tight as well as the hiccuping I used to get hiccups as a soft stop then I had .25 cc out of my band and I actually burp not lol no more hiccuping

I have a doc apt today so hopefully he can point me in the right direction. Or give me something for the pain. I've been on anxiety mess before the surg and haven't been on them since with holidays and such the stress may have been a factor as well I guess we will see. Thanks!!

I was banded in June with the slimband/lapband everything has been going great other than left shoulder pain when I over eat and have pressure built up. But... Since October I have been having nutcracker esophagus. It basically feels like I'm having a heart attack my husband took me to emerge one night they did an EKG to rule out heart, and said food is probably getting stuck causing acids that irritate my esophagus which is likely causing the spasms. I went and had .25 cc's removed today hoping that will help although I feel really bloated now. Has anyone else experienced this after having their band. I've never had esophagus problems before????

I have the slimband ( Canadian version) I've never had a fill, had my surg in June and always get pain in my left shoulder if I eat too much. But recently in oct. I also started having nutcracker esophageal spasms, not fun at all but the pain in my shoulder didn't seem to show up I would much prefer the shoulder pain any day.
