pregnant with the band
hagerteresa replied to lovecats85's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
My friend Tracey had a beautiful baby girl after having the band for a year. You can search for her threads too (its called Babies and the band I think). I am also planning on having children and wanted to be sure that the band wouldn't hurt those chances. Best wishes, Teresa -
Thanks for Sharing! You made some excellent points and I'm glad you came thru it all okay. My surgeon told my brother that I had very fatty organs and esophagus and he had to carve a lot out where the band was placed... Don't know if that is a good or a bad thing but found it worth remembering. Best wishes, Teresa

Glad you at least heard back from him and your getting it checked out. Who knows what will happen. Best wishes, Teresa

Hi Jamie, This topic has been discussed several times, so I'm sure you'll find several threads about it if you do a search on the forum. If you look towards the top of the page you'll see a blue grey bar that has options such as User CP, FAQ, Member's List, etc. Search is the 7th option over with the little down arrow. Welcome to the sight and it is a pleasure to meet you. Best of luck in your research. I myself am very happy I chose the band and feel like I have been very successful with it. Best wishes, Teresa

Happy Birthday! Hope you have a wonderful day! Teresa

I wonder what the long term affects would be if someone had erosion but never lost restriction and refused to have the band removed?
-
Yes Donali, I fully agree about it only being Diane that reports it. I sure hope she does take that action even with her affiliation with Lopez's office. It seems that Penni's source could only be someone either from Lopez's office or someone VERY close to the family.
-
Someone MUST contact inamed about this situation if it hasn't been reported already.
-
Absolutely and Completely denied it!!! I'm wondering if the same person that had returned my friends call back is also possibly staying at Diane's house? I know this person and know she lives out of town. From what I understand, her job is mainly recruiting patients for Lopez but does make several visits down to his office. I know her and Diane have known each other a while if that is indeed the facts...
-
Aww, a never ending mystery revolving around Lopez's office. Recently a local friend of mine was trying to make an appt for fills in Lopez's office and she had read about Diane's situation. Normally it was Diane that she talked to but this time she had to leave a message. She got a return phone call from someone other than Diane who completely denied any of this was going on with Diane. I know they are just trying to cover the whole thing up but when so many people KNOW and care about Diane, I wonder why they think they could successfully keep it hushed up and deny it so emphatically.

We would like someone in Oregon to do our aftercare and be available if needed. Tracey and I are talking of going to Mexico because she wants Lopez to have her band looked at by him (it has been a year and a half for her and a full term baby). She liked him and had gone back for one of her fills with Lopez after her surgery. I'm mainly more interested in the adventure. I'm not really sure I even need a fill. Kind of borderline... I haven't really lost much in awhile but I have also had way to many family events and get togethers (splurging) and my excercise dropped off because of my arm flare ups. I was off of work most recently for almost 3 weeks when my right arm flared up. My job is really physical (housekeeper) so I'm sure that 3 weeks of drug induced couch potato didn't help my weight loss. What does Billy charge for a flouro fill? Kelly Fitzpatrick will still take patients from other surgeons but I'm not sure what her access to flouro is or if she has any access. I'll call her this morning. She is also supposed to be opening an office in MY town soon so that would be great to get to know her if that all works out and she does have the flouro. Thanks for the suggestion though Penni. Teresa

Hi Penni, That is really cool. Its always fun to meet celebrities. My brother just walked in his U of O graduation and a few of the graduates in his department are recently drafted football and basketball players. Nick had had classes with a couple of them and became friends (my brother is the biggest sports nut and memorabilia collector). He got to sit side by side with one of them and walked right after each other. We got some pics of the two together after the ceremony. I don't recall what his friends name is but the other one was Freddy Jones. I still smile when I think of my visit with Rupert and Rudy. Who else would get to shell crab all evening and eat dinner with those two. Anyway congrats on the cool experience. I would love to see her art. Teresa

Lame!!! I hate people that invade innocent people's lives to steal! It makes me so mad that the general population has to work so hard for everything and then some nit wit who refused to work or needs a drug fix comes along and swipes anything they can get their paws on. Did I mention, "I HATE THIEVES!!!" I'm assuming you have called and talked to your boss. He should be making arrangements to get a new one as soon as possible. Its funny its so hot there because here we haven't even had any warm summer days yet. Normally it is sweltering by this time here too but so far it just wants to stay springlike. It warms up to the mid 60's or low 70's but has been raining hard at least every few days. We have also gotten a lot more thunder and lightning than we would normally get. I remember summers like this when I was a little girl but it has been a long time since we have had one. I wish I could pump down some of our cooler air your way. Best wishes, Teresa

Hi Kathy, Sorry to hear about your recent problems and hope things improve soon. Are you going to try Kelly Fitzpatrick? I think I may try to give her a try. I saw something on her website saying she can send you somewhere for flouro but I need to check it all out and give her a call. Tracey and I are talking about driving down to Mexico in early Aug. for our next fills. Anyway hope things improve, Teresa

Hi Christina, Glad you'll be on mushies in a couple of days. No telling what you would be calling your dog if it went on any longer...LOL. Poor things probably worried you want to eat him. Glad your surgery went well and you finally got your band. You couldn't have deserved it more. What's up with the calender planning? Best wishes, Teresa

That is cool to know that she has access to flouro. I'll have to check out that website. Does anyone know the web address and how much her flouro is? Thanks Teresa -
Penni, Thanks for the update and I'm glad things are getting brought out in the open with the counselor. Hopefully that is just exactly what you guys needed to make your lives together work. Best wishes, Teresa

That is adorable Lisa!!! You made my afternoon. I wish I got to dance as a kid.

SWEEET... New computers are always nice. We've done the same thing over the years and upgraded. DSL was the real cool thing we absolutely love having.

Those are the cutest little girls!!! I don't have kids yet but really really want a little girl first when I do have children. One of each would be nice, in fact I would love to actually just have twins (one of each) but I'm not holding my breath. They don't run in my family, LOL... Anyway those are the cutest pics. I'll have to try to get a hold of a copy of my niece who was in a recital when she was 2 last year. I would have loved to have been put in piano or dance classes when I was a kid. My parents were a bit unconventional and never thought of it when I was little. By the time I was older I was chunckier and not destined for the stage. LOL. Thanks for sharing.
