Anxiety Eating pre-surgery
KAATNS replied to lolarose13's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like you might be having a little bit of the "last supper" syndrome. I don't think you'd be able to eat like that with the band, but it is important to be mentally prepared. Are you doing the pre-op diet soon? -
What's in your lunch and/or snack bag?

What's in your lunch and/or snack bag?
KAATNS replied to PrettyThick1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Greek yogurt with granola and string cheese are my go-to snacks almost everyday at work. For lunch I almost always have Progresso Light soup or Weight Watchers Smart Ones or salad. I would be a cheap date! -
Are you drinking plenty of water?

I just have to get away from the kitchen and I'm usually fine.

Psych eval tonight - nervous
KAATNS replied to Noki124's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't be nervous, they are there to help you. Just be honest with your answers and you'll be fine. I found mine to be very basic. Seems that they just want to make sure you have a good support system and things like that. Relax. -

That is amazing! Way to go. -
I wish I hadn't told my co-workers because they are always asking me how much I've lost? That really annoys me, especially since I am slow losing.

Are you always conscious of your band?
KAATNS replied to Bandashoop's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Mine is still fairly new to me and I'm still learning to live with it so it's always on my mind when I eat. I don't actually "feel" it though. -
Healthy Weight Loss?
KAATNS replied to bryanthebigguy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's probably normal, just be sure you're staying hydrated and follow your doctor's instructions. You can always call the office just to be certain. Good luck to you! -

Tips or things I wish someone had told me before surgery
KAATNS replied to cnotche's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your body will make strange noises at the most inappropriate times. As much as I read it, chewing well and eating slow really are important! Always know where the nearest restroom is located in a restaurant just in case you get stuck or have a PB. Don't compare your progress to anyone else's. Good luck on your journey! -
I've been doing this for 3 months now and I stay pretty confused about what to eat. My doctor says 3 meals (protein & veggie) and a planned snack everyday. When I go for my check-up they tell me I'm not eating enough. Go figure. Congratulations on your surgery and good luck!

My doctor prescribed Topamax for me to help with my Coke addiction. I took it for 2 weeks, never had a caffeine headache and the medication made the soda taste terrible so I stopped drinking it. It worked great for me. Just a thought.
