Hello and welcome! From my experience in the healthcare industry, if an insurance company doesn't cover the surgery, it doesn't matter who writes a letter on your behalf regardless of the condition. Is the surgery specifically excluded or did you not qualify? There is a difference. Good luck to you!

I'm happy with my choice so far. Although there have been some days that I could have thrown in the towel, I'm not going to because this is WORTH IT to me and I'm willing to work through the bad days to reach my goal. Trust me, this is NOT easy and sometimes its just plain hard work, but so worth it. I'm so grateful for the friends I've made here that encourage me along the way as well. I work for a healthcare system and we require pre-payment for elective procedures. Does your doctor have someone in their office that handles surgery scheduling or billing that you could call?

All great questions....your surgical team should explain everything step-by-step until you're asleep. Feel free to ask them any questions- they are there for you. Typically the anesthesiologist will come in and speak with you before you go to the OR as well. Just relax and everything will be fine. Congratulations on starting your journey. -

gurgling /shifting stomach????

The gurgling you are experiencing is totally normal. You will hear all sorts of noises from your tummy as you heal and after eating & drinking. If it becomes painful, you should contact your doctor but it sounds normal to me. -

Do they offer any classes such as Zumba, spinning or yoga? Maybe find a gym buddy or friend to go with you. I hate going by myself.

A small chili at Wendy's fills me up. Sometimes I get a half salad to go with it and I'm never able to finish it.
