Made it to onederland!
KAATNS replied to utkscvol1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yay for you!! -
You CAN do it! What helps me the most is looking at pictures of myself 8 months ago and seeing the change. I don't see it in the mirror so much, but I do see it in pictures. Also, take your measurements every few months and you'll be amazed at the changes going on. Hang in there girlie- you got this!

Well Happy Birthday to you pretty lady! -
any regrets? is it harder or easier then you thought?
KAATNS replied to WheelCrazy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No regrets, but it has been harder (mentally) than I thought it would be. Best thing I've ever done for myself. -
I'm glad he's treating you better and hopefully it will stay that way. In my opinion (and from my experience), if you were having problems before surgery, you will most likely have problems after the surgery. You certainly can't make people change and begging for affection will probably just leave you disappointed anyway. There is a chance that you may lose interest after your weight loss and see things more clearly. Only you will know the answer to that. Chances are, you probably already do. I know I did. Best wishes to you pretty lady.

What did you start doing to make the stomach start going down...

I would say maybe pilates to work on your core, sit-ups or the 30 day Ab Challenge would be a good start. -
I feel for you! My oldest is a 22 year-old first year teacher and still doesn't want to leave home. And I'm totally okay with it!

Hello and welcome! Not going to lie...the pre-op diet is HARD, both physically and mentally but it CAN be done. Try to focus on the end result, drink plenty of water and keep yourself busy. Best wishes to you and your new journey.

Hello and welcome! I also go to UC and used Dr. Watkins for my surgery. I have been very pleased with him and his staff. I was a self-pay patient as well and chose the band, but I understand they are now doing the sleeve for much less than what I paid for the band. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions. Best wishes on your journey! -
Way to go!! You should be proud!

I have a hard time with them unless they are blended in something.

Weight Watchers string cheese has 50 calories. I have a hard time with sushi unless I remove the seaweed.
