  1. i have a question? is anyone at a stall? i have been for about a month. i'll go up 3 pounds then i'd lose them. help
  2. my doctor never tell me how much he put in my band. but i'm assuming it is 1cc each visit. i've gotten a fill 3 times so far. only once it was a little because i was flying out of the country last month, he said that fills and flying don't mix well. after he had explained why, i understood. i wonder how do they know or we'd know when we've hit the green zone? i know i still have not had much restriction.
  3. I have a question that I need to be schooled on. Is it, whereas, the more you have as a fill the less you are able to eat and the less hungry you are? Even though I only have 1cc, I make sure I eat and drink the way that I'm suppose too, but find myself still a bit hungry and snacking a little, but not much cause I know it's yelling "Danger, Will Robinson". If anyone remembers the old show Lost In Space. Looking for replies
  4. i am happy for you too. yippee. finally. sometimes it just seems like things take so long as i had to wait 6 mos just to have my surgery. it was miserable.
  5. hey just saw your message. i hope you get your fill soon if you haven't gotten it yet. i guess it depends on the surgeon. i thought i was going to go nuts with out a fill. i had a small one, but not too much of a restriction. a 1cc fill. hoping for a little more on the next visit. take care
  6. that seems like i good idea to do if you fall off the band wagon. i have a habit of beating myself up to for stuff. not good. and as i said, i try to get some walking in too, but i'd like to everyday. i've only been doing 3 to 4 days a week. not minding the snow. i have also learned to park far away from building and shopping doors
  7. i'm eating 1200 and a little under for calories. believe it last night i sipped on water most of the night and was not hungry at all. so i think that will be a bit of a ticket for me. i'm walking 3 to 4 times a week, but could do it everyday and should be walking everyday. not minding the snow
  8. yep me too. i had my first fill on monday. i'm glad, but i only got 1cc. i guess a little is alright for beginners. but i'll get more next month. my fill didn't hurt, it just bled. i am down 21. that was pleasing to find out. i forgot to ask about exercising more. all i've been doing is walking. and yes not much restriction. my doctor had me sip some water to make sure it didn't get stuck.
  9. i hope i get a fill on monday 2/4. i should be due for one since i had my surgery on 12/26. i mean geez and then he wanted me to come back by 2/18, i could only figure that would be almost 7 weeks out while a lot of people are getting fills before 6 weeks. uh doc i am getting married in march.... i feel the same way you do. uggh
  10. all i can say is i know the feeling. i can relate. geez i'm just trying to hang in there.
  11. Happy -- Birthday dee1973!

  12. hey thanks a heap. my mushies are skinless turkey or chicken 3 oz, cooked veggies except corn, peas or potatoes, canned fruit in light syrup, boiled eggs (for me egg whites only ) small curd cottage cheese, lowfat shredded cheese, light yogurt w/out fruit chunks and 96% fat free cream soups.(pureed stuff) not much for choices. 50 to 58 grams of protein a day and 64 oz of fluids.
  13. i was banded on dec 26th. i had a dr visit on jan 14th. what sucks is that i have to wait until feb 18th for a fill. i wonder why so late? and i'm on mushies- which sometimes i am still hungry. but untill then, mushies and 64 ozs. i guess i shouldn't complain much. but really i'm not just hope not to gain. so far scale is the same.
  14. thank you for your advice. i have only told two friends about my surgery. i wish my mushy food list from the (nut) was a little longer cause i'm sure somethings are ok for me to eat. as for cupcakes- i'll bring sugarfree jello with fat free light cool whip. at least i can have that
