  1. I am having a band to sleeve revision on October 20th. I am super excited and any advice would be welcome. I had an easy recovery after the lap band surgery but my band slipped after a year and I am now getting the sleeve. Thanks in advance.

    Acid reflux after band

I actually have had a barium swallow and a ct scan and they could find nothing wrong at the time After I posted this I went to a new doctor who looked at the ct scan and diagnosed a slipped band. I will be having surgery to repair it or convert to a sleeve soon. Thanks for the info. You are completely right.
  3. Has anyone had any success in alleviating acid reflux after banding. I had it prior and it went away for almost a year and then came back even worse. I am miserable. I have had band adjusted numerous times and it always comes back.
  4. I have done my research online, but was hoping someone on here might have personal experience and could recommend someone.
  5. I am looking for info about surgeons who do the gastric sleeve in or near Bristol, Va. I currently have a Lap Band. Thank you.
  6. Thank you. I used to be able to maneuver the site well when it was Lapbandtalk.
  7. So when is your bypass surgery?
  8. So this will be your 3rd surgery? What caused the slip?
  9. Has anyone started with a lap band and then converted to a sleeve? I have had the worst time with severe acid reflux with my band and have had to remove almost all the fluid. I am hungry all the time consequently. I have had all the X-rays and examinations and am told my band looks fine. I also had a hiatal hernia repaired so that isn't the problem.

  11. I am glad you have recovered. I am hoping I will too. That we all will.
  12. I stopped crossing my legs and mine is about 50 percent better. I put off nerve conduction test and any further tests until I give it some time.
