No cream -- what does that do? No Valium -- just cold wash rags on my neck and such. Said to drink a protein drink before my fills. It is no fun. Have a good night.
-
I went home as well - but was not able to sleep in my own bed. You will find most sleep ina recliner the first few nights from surgery!

West Coast Fat Guy -- You are absolutely correct -- what a great post. Lauren -- I have to diet - to be successful with the band -- some days are easier than others. But the hardest time I have is when I have gone off my proper eating - because of the mental - "oh I can have just a little of this and that -- I have done so well -- I hardly have eatten anything all day -nothing goes down very well - let me have some ice cream; starbucks frappacino..." (you get the idea) Trying to get back on the "Band" wagon once been off is hard - and takes dedication! (IMO) I am not trying to discourage you -- but give you the real life expectations as well. It is the best thing I did for myself. But I was scared that I couldn't live the band style (Low carb; no soda's) - so 7 mos prior - I tested the diet and lost 50lbs - and the 7 mos after surgery - I lost 46lbs. -- It is a tool - that is all. BEST WISHES ON GETTING BANDED!

Tomorrow is the day! Best wishes for a speedy recover. Be brave!

Here is my "Heidi-Marie" - you don't think she is spoiled - do you?
-
The beta home looks so clean! He is adorable. I want a tatoo -- just scared to death of needles! Even my fills are a challenge -- 1st one took 1-1/2 hours, because of my almost passing out.
-
I hade a co-worker that use to get cold sores alot and he ate TUM's - he said that made them go away and prevented them. Just a thought.
-
Maybe they lost weight before the lapband? Either way - they are my hero! I want to lose 80 more -- Then I will plan a big party. Maybe I better lose 85 then the party for a net of 80 -- hahaha!
-
I posted it there as inspiration to someone having doubts about doing the lapband! I promise next time I will post here. Thanks - Have a good day!

Michelle – 238 – whooo hoooo!!! You go girl! Kat – sorry you temp filling came out – again. Can you use toothpaste and place it backin? Or is it not that type? TracyK – great for you getting a new car – what a great feeling that is. Have fun – zooom zoom… Pam – I want a highlander hybrid so bad – but my dh says it is not big enough for us. He is a bigboy – and we have a german shephard – but I was wanting something easier for her to get into the back end of as she is getting older and having problems jumping. Terry – I continue to have you and your family in my prayers. Hopefully she will be released soon, and all better. Jenn – I think she is taking advantage of you – that is not right – family or not. Good luck on your new job! Janiebug – don’t do it – second job will be too much IMO. Judy – hope you are having fun! Well my TOM is all screwed up again – 14 days since last start and I am starting again! -- I was going so good at 28 days (up to Jan 2) being regular then the past few months 12 days (1/15); 26 days (2/10); and now 14 days (2/24). WTF! Weight is back up 5-6 lbs from my low on Valentines day – I am so depressed. Have a good day everyone! I will be in charlotte this week – but I will try to lurk (check in to at least keep up-to-day with reading the posts).

This was great -- made me cry. Thanks everyone for the feedback on the glasses -- I'll keep them! :smile2:

Haydee – get well soon & you are adorable with your glasses. Terry – I have you and your family in my prayers. Laura – great B&A pictures in your blog. Kity – great NSV. Judy – you look great! Wish I had musical talent. I played the clarinet – in 5th thru 8th – but I wasn’t any good. I have also tried the piano and organ – can’t count that is my trouble. I got new glasses -- what do you think? My husband picked them out -- I have 30 days to return if I don't like them. Be honest - what do you think?

Lovmy2dogs Welcome!!!! I live in Chesapeake. We can get together sometime, after this nasty weather blows through. I would be glad to help and assist any way possible. Then we need to plan an area get-together for all of us -- harleynana, denise, and all others who wish to come and have fun! :grouphug: Good Night!

I have done something similar -- I always fly Tuesday out of Norfolk back on Friday-- and this one time I go to check-in and the self-check in doesn't give me my stuff so I get the guy to help and find out I was scheduled to fly out Monday and set me return Thursday, earlier than I usually do-- he changed my whole trip and didn't charge me a thing. So -- see I am not laughing - been there and done that.

Haydee – get well soon! Laura & Terry – I am extremely tight today as well. I don’t know if it was the overeating and aggravating it yesterday – or just scaring the stuff from slipping thread. I have been getting in 128 oz of liquid a day (gulps are fine) – today not even 64 oz – sips every 15-20 minutes. Could it be the full moon? I haven’t had a fill since 1/10. Scale was up today 3 lbs and rings that barely stay on fingers – tight as can be. TracyK – Happy Birthday! – I personally am so proud of you to be close to goal – and know that just because you have a few pounds – it is no different that the 70 lbs – if anything more frustrating due to the fact the scale moves even more slowly the closer you get to goal. And for the record – some doctors recommend you indulge like you did today occasionally! You are doing great – this was just one day – for the overall good! Terry – How is your Mom doing? Judy - how wonderful for you to find such deals on clothing and having NSV’s! Laura – wonderful NSV for you as well. Kat – How is the tooth? You are so brave to go through the pannectomy – I can’t even think about another surgery. Tracy – love the hair/highlights! You are beautiful. Jenn – Monday will be here before you know it. Your Mom sounds wonderful and what a wonderful NSV on the sizes and that will make you even more confident on Monday! HAVE A GREAT DAY TOMORROW EVERYONE!

I read this entire Thread the other day - and scared me to death. Here is one that really sums it up: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f78/found-out-today-my-band-slipped-46443/index2.html#post709385 As I have complained many times - that I have reflux since being banded. And it seems that at times it is easier to eat JUNK because I am too tight. And I get pains when I eat and sometimes continue to eat though it. After reading the referenced thread - it seems I am a perfect canidate for band slipage. -- and it is more common than not. Especially 1 year plus - and generally required surgery. Talk about being SCARED.. this is me right now.
-
I could have and should have written this post. It seems like I do good for a while - then indulge in something - then crave and continue to indulge out of control. I need help -- most of the time I indulge when no-one is around. I will be good all day then I get left alone for a few hours and wham-- anything I can get my hands on. This was me today - and yesterday!

I agree with Stefanie! I found moving helped getting the gas out of my body. I also used Gas-X strips - unsure if that helps this type of pain or not. I felt better taking them. That is all that counts - I guess. Best wishes.
-
I fly alot and I have never had this happen - or read about that happening here. Sorry. Very interesting though.
