I'm getting banded on Feb 4th and I'm very excited

Unfortunately, this is my career so I will go and not drink, I'll be social and pay the "I'm not feeling well" card.

I just want to be able to sit in a car without feeling BIG, sitting in an airplane without having to pull the buckle to the max! Oooooh, and ya just feeeeeling awesome about ME and what I'm wearing! Good luck my dear!

Do you have a fav movie? You could try to watch that while walking on a treadmill. Also, a workout buddy? I find I have these same feelings, but once I finally get my a$$ moving I feel great! Good Luck!

I hear ya with the show on the road, hahaha I'm 2 weeks 4 days away..... If the insurance doesn't cover it, try to get a loan to pay for it out of pocket.....that's what my husband and I did. So I was struggling initially, with the further debt I'm putting on us, rather than the surgery itself. My husband said, if he wanted to new Harley, I would encourage him to buy it....so he said for me to consider this "my harley"....hahahah, what a good analogy. Keep posting!

Hi Kped, I am anxious about my 4 week post-op diet Just think if you juiced for 3 days, it's only 4 more you have to get through. Try to keep motivated by looking at pictures of how other people on this site started out and look now....I often do that to keep myself motivated. Good Luck you can do this!

Hang in there...and be happy your insurance is paying......I'm paying the entire thing out of pocket It'll happened, stay focused and keep the bigger picture in mind.....

Hi Mandy, I start my pre-op diet on Monday (21st) as well....I'm on a no carb, low-fat, etc diet. I'm 2 weeks til band-time; and yes I too am very excited....nervous as well. Let's keep in touch!

Hi All, I met my Surgeon this morning. He's very nice and he actually did a gastric bypass surgery on a friend of mine. I'm getting nervous excited..... I meet with my nutritionist and psychologist next Monday. Will start my 2 week low-fat, low carb pre-op on the 21st.

I think we all go thru this feeling. I didn't want to tell people either. I started telling only my closest friends (of course my husband and daughter). My daughter (19 yrs old) is just starting to accept it. I wish you the best of luck with your decision and journey. I'm getting banded Feb 4th; met my surgeon today. This whole process is exciting, scary, nervous. I'm in Ontario, Canada and I have to pay for the FULL thing out of pocket. My husband and I are taking a loan to pay for it. Best of Luck!

Hi there, I'm getting banded on Feb 4th. I met my surgeon today; Dr. Hong. I'm going to CIBO Clinic in Toronto. So far, they have been very, very supportive. The consultation was amazing. Good luck with your choice!

Unfortunately, in our society we are more comfortable talking and advertising things related to drinking, sex, relationships, etc., but when it comes to doing things (especially surgery) to lose or maintain weight loss it's "hushed". If your friends/family or truly friends/family, then you should say to them, I already look hot now I'm gonna be healthy and HOT! Good Luck girl!

Hi All, Well, I'm on the 4 week countdown til my Surgery, it is on Feb 4th. Typing this, my belly just did a somersault; I'm nervous, scared, excited. I have about 85 pounds to lose. I have lost weight and gained weight etc, the roller coaster. Any one else getting banded on the 4th???

I'm 5"5 and 230 pounds; I would like to get to 145-155. This site is very helpful for inspiration!
