    Slow Losers Unite!

Yes she is actually doing quite well....i'm approaching a year in May and haven't hit 40#'s yet. I keep getting alot of compliments from family and friends and they always ask...so how much more have you lost lately and usually the answer is...nothing. LOL I seem to be like Denise and lose it is large chunks (right after a fill) and then NOTHING for months at a time, but without the band I would probably still be carrying around that 39#'s and another 20-30 on top of that after a year at the rate I was going....

    For those who have PCOS

I too go to a MedSpa at our local mall and they use the Apogee machine on me...it is a little more aggressive I believe and I am done with my 5 treatments, but I go once-twice a year for touch ups...I am due for my annual appointment and I have enough dark hairs again showing that i'm ready!! It is NOTHING like it used to be though...YUCK I don't miss my beard. I'm not trying to be insensitive, but I was soooo miserable with it because I was still single and when I was dating, I would NOT look my dates too close in the face or let them touch my face when they kissed me...after I had treatment, I had my first MOST amazing kiss with my man of the month holding my face (ahhh) and I felt like a woman again...I LOVE LASERS!!

They look a little sore, but overall you look like you're coming along fine! hang in there, everyday it gets better...I have a question though? Don't you have any drains? I didn't see any in your pics-the pics i've seen before aren't they usually in the hoo-hoo area?

Selain, this is so hard, I feel your pain, but don't know what to say to offer any advice. I would make sure and talk to your surgeon and get his advice, he may suggest another surgery such as a bypass or other ?? Since you had so many issues and if he does do other types of surgeries, maybe he can offer you a break ? I know how frustrating it is to be on this board and seeing everyone else so happy and losing like crazy and it isn't happening for you because that's my story, but as far as having such a major disaster as you have experienced x2, I can see how you feel so isolated and alone. I would spend some time doing some research and get a couple of opinions from different sources and then make an informed decision from there. I wish you the best. Renee

The part I am having a hard time with is that I forget to feed my daughter sometimes(she's 3) ...I mean don't get me wrong, she isn't starving and she LET'S me know, but I sometimes feel guilty that I don't have a planned meal (nutritious) in front of her and will quickly put together something to curb her hunger as when you're 3 you don't think about food until you're STARVING and she does NOT want to wait for mom to prepare something. The guilt is good though as i'm learning to have quick things on hand I know she likes and will eat and are better for her (hard boiled eggs and dole peaches are her favorite lately and are ready to eat at a second's notice) but MOM is still learning. Any suggestions from you experienced mom's out there for quick nutritious snacks and lunch ideas for 3 year olds?

YOU LOOK SOOO GOOD, I am so happy for you. I REALLY want PS, but part of me feels like it is selfish to use so much money on my Looks, but if money were readily available, I would soooo jump on the PS wagon. I am so happy you had such a great opportunity to be able to do this for yourself and you look great, I know you have a long road ahead of you still healing wise, but you already look Wonderful....so smooth and slimmer and those jeans look so great on you Christine, you are going to walk so proud and beautiful wearing those....

YOU ARE JUST FINE where you are at!! If you stayed there for the rest of your life you would be fine! I personally like my men with a little bit of meat on them and I already think you are too skinny for my taste (that's supposed to be a compliment) LOL

THAT SUCKS! I hope you'll appeal? That seems like a slap in the face, due to the fact that you've been successful you're being penalized for that? Makes no sense, but insurance companies can be difficult...i'm so sorry.:blushing:

I went in this am and had .4 cc removed, I felt better instantly! I keep drinking water, apple juice-anything wet I can get my hands on!

I was thinking 2.8 to 2.9 would be ideal for me? When I was at 2.8 before, it was too tight, (so had .18 removed) but i've lost weight and it got way toooo loose, so taking me back there or to 2.9 would probably be a safe bet...what do you think?

    May 2007 Banders

I've been doing the best i can to avoid PB'ing...that's why I have only had one protein shake for the past 3 days, I can feel that i'm full and dare not take another sip, but I have slimed a few times and because i'm so full I dare not swallow the saliva so i'm spitting it out...sorry TMI. My fill level i'm pretty sure is a little over 3.3 cc in a 4cc band. I realized it AFTER I got home from the fill (see my notes below) my Dr. and I both forgot to note one of my fills in my chart because I made my appt. under my nickname instead of my legal name so she didn't have my chart and must have lost her note before it made it into my chart ? Anyway, i'm sure i'm overfilled and at first thought well i'm getting alot down so no chance of dehydration so I was just going to ride it out for a week or so, but now this is not good.

    May 2007 Banders

I think my fill is too tight, I called today to see if I can get in tomorrow for a slight unfill....last night I was laying in bed and my band was squeaking too! WEIRD...I couldn't sleep it was freaking me out... The good thing is I have dropped 7 lbs in the past 2 weeks which for me is UNHEARD of as I am a very slow loser, I have had my band since May '07 and was stuck at 215 forever (give or take 3-4 lbs over Xmas) but for the past 3 days I have been drinking the SAME protein shake and it still isn't DONE! Yesterday I filled a drinking glass with water and sipped it and I got Maybe 4 ounces of water in so this is NOT the healthy way to lose and I have got to get more nutrition in. The strange thing was for the first week I was able to drink about 4 protein shakes a day and also have some soup at night and in the AM a skinny latte, but now almost NOTHING is going through and it just sits there....I don't know why. It must be one of those retroactive fills I guess.

Enjoy-how nice! I've never had a hot stone massage, you'll have to let us know how it goes, I go once a week or every other week (schedule allowing) to get an hour massage but it is a regular grease em up and rub em type...no rocks involved.

    Any other slow losers?

How much restriction would you say you have? How much can you eat in a single serving? Are you staying away from sweets?
