  1. I am an F (I sometimes wear a DDD, but it is dangerous if you get my drift) and I REALLY want a reduction. Do you know if this is typically covered by insurance? If so, how do you start the process? Do I have to have a history of visiting the Dr. about back ache's because i'm not one to complain and have not seen a Dr. about this, but have been getting therapeutic massage for the past 1 1/2 years (and my insurance pays for it!) and I would KILL for smaller boobies.
  2. Ouch, sounds painful..are you happy with the final results?

    Nurseamy's tummy tuck/Lipo/Mastopexy

This may sound like a stupid question, but your belly button looks really good (very real) I have been researching TT and have seen some that look 'weird'....my question is: do they use the same belly button or create a fake one? I don't know if some surgeon's do it differently or what, but some look better than others....I don't get it.

    Scar pictures?

No problem, I see you are in Seattle, I'm in Portland OR-so we're practically neighbors! Hey have you read those books the "Twilight" series by Stephanie Meyers? Your avatar makes me think of them....they are about vampires, that's why the red eye makes me think of them...anyway....again the ADD is taking over, I wish you luck on your journey.
  5. I've been a lurker too and i'm so excited for you Steph, I hope everything went great and that you are feeling better now....please keep us posted with stories and pics....we lurkers are here even if you can't see us!!!!!

I just wanted to let you know i've lost a WHOLE lb since February...(yeah I'm on the slow losers forum too...LOL) but I was bad because I said I wasn't going to weigh until my bandiversary which is May 7th....whoops, well I will wait to weigh until then from now on...wish me luck, my goal is 199, but I think I may fall a little short of that...darnit.

Melissa are you doing liquids because you had an issue? You've been doing so great, I hope everything is okay! I do like the pouch stretch diet testy thingy, I am going to give it a try just to kick start my loosing again (once I get back from Vegas May 12th LOL - it's tooooo hard to diet and travel) but I really don't think I have stretched mine, I have a tendency towards softer foods and I chew chew chew anything that is NOT soft so it then BECOMES Really soft so I truly believe that if I can eat more than 4 oz. it is because it is moving through my band quickly. When I eat something with alot of fiber content, I can eat VERY little... Weirdest thing, but I've been having port pains but on the other side of my abdomen opposite my port....am I just crazy or do others experience this?? It feels like I slept on my port and made it sore, i'm sure you know what i'm talking about, but on the side that has NO port....weird.

    Doctor From Hell

Can you schedule an appointment with her to "discuss the procedure" but really use the time for the letter to be written/signed etc, that way you are right there in her office, face to face and she's getting paid? Then change PCP's right away...what a CAD!

    Lower BMI'ers--2008!!!

AMAZING! Good for you, how awesome, the tightness DOES go down, with my last fill I was sooooo tight, had a tiny bit removed because I couldn't even swallow excess saliva (yeah it is gross) anyway i'm really loose right now and I haven't lost alot of weight on the outside, so i'm thinking I just lost stomach pad fat! Oh well, it's still fat lost. Good for you on the size 10 - he'll come around, just give it time and he'll be ranting and raving about how awesome you are and how much work/pain you went through for it and he'll see it wasn't the "easy" way out. Keep us posted, there are other's here who are pulling for you. Renee

That is so not true for me, since i've had my baby, I have excess "girth" so even though I'm in a 16 and the butt is -as my husband so sweetly put it - starting to bag, the waist is tight....I need a TT!! She was worth it ALL but darnit that excess stomach "tissue" or whatever it is - :tongue_smilie:is so not fun..

Good for you! I haven't weighed myself either. I am really loose right now and feel like i'm eating everything in sight...i'm not sure that's good or bad since I'm not weighing, but I really do NOT think I am going past 1500 calories a day....so maybe it will kick start my weight loss again. I should schedule a fill, but i'm still feeling ALOT of restriction in the AM and i'm enjoying being able to eat healthy foods again and i'm working on my food addiction while i'm able to eat it. ( I even ate a little sushi last week! ) Tonight I had a turkey burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun and had some pickle, onion, tomato and ketchup and mustard...it was WONDERFUL! I ate the WHOLE burger though, before I would have had a bite or two so like I said I may be a bit loose. Laura, I like your 5 minute Gym rule. Getting THERE is the biggest battle, working out is actually enjoyable and i'm only making it TO the gym 1-2x a week, so I will try to do a 5 min/5 day a week goal this next week and see how it works....what I do to make myself enjoy my visit is after I get off the treadmill or elliptical for 30 minutes, I get on a stationary bicycle and just peddle slowly to burn fat and I stay as long as it takes to read my latest people magazine from cover to cover...(I NEVER am able to do that at home with a 3 year old, so this is a treat!!)

Laura- I'm with you, my anniversary is on the 9th so i'm going to put away my scale until then because I get soooo upset when it doesn't move...i'm also committing to following the bandster rules to the "T" until then so I can see a change by my bandiversary! What a good idea, thanks!!! I'm also going to Vegas for a weekend right after my Bandiversary and I want to look goooooodddd, so this is a great time to committ to being a "good girl"....

AudricIan, I am so happy for you...I have been watching to see how you're progressing as you went through so much to get your band...wow, you are approaching a 7 already? Good for you. .. Has your husband admitted it was a great choice yet? He must be seeing these results and have nothing but happiness for you!!

    Lower BMI'ers--2008!!!

I chose to go to Mexico because: 1. my insurance wouldn't cover me because I didn't have the same company for 2+ years which was their requirement for WLS..and I was NOT willing to wait another year 2. I wanted to go to Dr. Ortiz because of the amount of surgeries he has performed and his great record of low complications. There was another surgeon about an hour away from here who was close to the same price, but had only performed about 400 surgeries and at the time Dr. Ortiz had performed 4000+ so to me that was actually the clicker and I've not regretted it. I have a local naturopathic doctor who does my fills.
  24. ooh ouch, i'm so glad you are feeling better, that does NOT sound like much fun!
