Five years banded and I have fallen off the bandster wagon,I need some advice...
Luckyaka replied to schampange's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
According to my surgeon, the success of the band is depended upon you seeing your surgeon and getting the the right fill in order to lose and maintain weight. I'm glad you are going to go see your surgeon and you can continue to see them a few times a year. Congrats on your Weightloss and keeping it off for 5 years. -
Hey Sarah, how are you doing this week? I have lost about 1.4 pounds this week but it's been hard but I'm keeping my diet in check and working out at least 3 to 4 days per week.
-
I have went from 179.6 to 178.2 for a 1.4 pound weight loss.

It will be so worth it when you go down a pants size, I lost 22 pounds on my pre-op liquid diet. I was so miserable but now I'm glad I did it. From time to time, I go on a 3 day protein shake fast to jump start my weight loss.

I had all the above, it's the carb and sugar withdrawal!

Everyone please feel free to add me. Luckyaka -
Hey Sarah and Erin, you can do it but you must change your mindset first and your eating habits next. I'm committed to my health and weight loss. I decided before surgery to make some life style changes that I needed in order to be successful with my band. I see my surgeon every 4 weeks like clock work and I adjust my band to make certain I'm successful. I'm doing my part and my surgeon is doing his part. We are a great team and I have about 32 lbs to do to reach my first goal of 100 pounds lost. I'm willing to help anyway I can or to be your cheerleader.

You need your fills to be successful! You have to do this to be heathy for yourself first and than your hubby and children. I explained to my husband this was something that I had to do for me. I'm being selfish with health and fitness!

Completed my first 25 jumping jacks! I'm winded!

August 8, 2012 was my surgery date. I have lost 69 pounds including Pre-op. I'm sticking to the basics like protein first and not eating more than 1200 calories per day. I drink 64 fluid ounces of water. No sweets, sugar or cocktails.

No secret, I am strictly low carb, excerise and 64 fluid ounces of water daily. I stick to the low carb high protein diet and I use the myfitnesspal app to stick to no more than 1200 calories per day. I'm determined to lose 100+ pounds by August 8, 2013!
