I had my surgery at the Portsmouth naval hospital in Virginia. My husband Is retired military. I'm almost 8 weeks out and have good days and bad days. You really have to eat slow and listen to your body. It's more mental than anything.

Maybe we can walk together sometime. It's not so bad after surgery. Just listen to your doctor. Who is your surgeon?

You will need lip balm, sugar free Popsicles, broth and of course Water and Protein shakes. You won't feel much like eating. I was able to drive at day 3, so if I needed anything I could go get it

I took a tour of anytime fitness. I liked that you could literally go anytime (midnight work out yeah!!)

I didn't ask about weight limit. But then I am not supposed to really work out till the end of may

Ive been craving a burger, I dont think we should even consider beef for a while?.?...I want something other than the liquid diet. Im torturing myself with ideas.

Im so ready to eat fod again, but of caourse scared as to what will happen. Who's been cheating? and what have you eaten?

Concord NC here. Im having surgery on the 25th.

Im nervous but so excited to start to losing weight. Does anyone else think its cruel to make food addicts go without food? When I stress, I eat. Hello 4 days to surgery and I want to eat. I'm trying to stay focused on the prize and not the moment. I cant wait to hear from everyone how their process is going.

I know we dont eat so the liver and other organs can shrink, but Im hungry..... . I havent cheated at all, but today I want to eat. I need encouragement.

Does anyone have any information about Portsmouth naval hospital bariatric program. My insurance is tricare and I've been approved thru them for the surgery. My initial appt. is Thursday .
