My surgery date was 4/29/13. HW 297 CW 253 GW160. I'm doing 80 g of Protein a day and on soft foods. Still feeling my way as far as what I can eat.<img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I'm walking everyday.

So today was pretty good of a day! Spent hours rolling up lumpia for a cook out at my pregnant friends house. She requested them so I obliged. There was a ton of food there and I was afraid I would over eat but don't think I did so bad. I was more afraid folks would ask about my lack of food but only one person really did. I checked the weight limit on the bouncy castle out back and squeezed myself into it and jumped and jumped to the squeal of the kids. I even climbed the 6ft area and slid down the slide! Never would have done that before. Mind u I was the only adult who did it <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I experienced near weightlessness as 8 kids were bouncing and jumping so I really was flying all around. Was absolutely amazing!! Hope y'all had a great Labor Day!!

That sounds like south fun. I've always wanted to play in the bouncy houses too!!

Yup! Call and see where they want your Protein intake. I'm supposed to get 60-80 gram. With 'normal' foods I average 40-50 so in FORCING myself to do a shake 4-5 times a week so I can average 70-75...I want so badly to kill off the shake but every time I try my Protein decreases and I stall. Bleh.

That's what I'm experiencing...stalling stinks.

I had my surgery at a naval hospital that is 5 hours away. I think I will call them and ask what my Protein should be. I didn't know about the egg whites in drinks. meat Protein doesn't really work for me and some days (like today) my pouch is a grouch. I get nausea when I eat, so I drink protein shakes. Thanks for the ideas.

So after reading all the posts on here and actually logging on MFP, I realize my Protein intake is really low. I'm 4 months out of surgery and struggle to get 30 grams of Protein a day. My. Pouch doesn't like most meat. How do I increase my protein and how much should I be aiming for on a daily basis ?
