  1. Just got my second fill about two hours ago...sipped a little water and now I've been ever so elegantly spitting it up in my trash can at work. This I going to be a long day and I better lose more than the 2 lbs I did since the last fill :-/
  2. Finally in the 220s...just barely at 229.5, but I'm there! Had my first fill on Tuesday - up to 4.4ccs out of my 10. Nurse said I was losing weight too fast an needed to target 2-8 lbs/mo which seems really really low. I told her swimsuit season is coming and I'd like to actually be comfortable without a muumuu on at the beach! Hope you all are doing fantastic on your journey!
  3. Hey ya'll! I'm so giddy this morning! I woke up, noticed my bloated belly had finally deflated from surgery, ran to the scale and weighed in at 234.5 - down 22.5 since Dec 17 pre-op diet. I was so ecstatic I tried on a pair of pants I ordered online a long time ago that we're way too small. So my first official NSV is I'm wearing them (and not afraid I'm gonna bust a seam)! Hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday as well! Best, Chad.
  4. What a small world! Hope your doing well with your recovery!
  5. Back in the gym for the first time since being banded on the 31st...gotta say it was kind of a slow go on the treadmill today but it does wonders for the gas! Also lost my first 20 lbs as of this AM! 57 more to go til I hit my goal!
  6. Hey all, Glad to hear you are all doing well with food and weight loss. I'm on day post-op day four - not really hungry, but searching for good tasting liquids. Thankfully, I found the boxed Soups at Trader Joes to get me through. I'm down 19lbs since I started the preop liquid diet on Dec 17th...can't wait to see even more results in the next few months. Quick question - anyone still seem puffy or bloated in the stomach area? Gas pains are largely gone, but I feel like I've got a beach ball in there. Best, Chad MyFitnessPal name is ChadinTX for those of you that want to connect.
  7. Congrats Melissa! Hope you are doing well in your recovery! I had mine yesterday too - home by about 2:30 with lots of gas and a little soreness right in the center of my torso...didn't stop me from hobbling to a friends house for a low key (toasting the new year with my sippy cup of water) New Year's party. I can't believe how thirsty I am - just thankful it's not hunger cause there is no way I'm getting any food down for awhile. Slept okay last night other than having to sleep in the guest room because my bed was way too close to the ground to get in & out of easily. Today, I'm feeling better so hopefully the worst is behind. Thank's all!
  8. I'm lying here in the pre-op bed with my cap and gown on - I don't know whether it's nerves or excitement, but looking forward to getting this done starting the new year!

Hi Nancy - I'm at True Results too, but Dr. Reilly. I read all your posts knowing we were in the same clinic. Hope you are doing well and seeing the results you hoped for!

Hey all - thanks for posting your experiences. It's amazing to be able to understand exactly what I'm getting into through your posts. Earlier today I got my 9 AM appointment time for the 31st and am excited but getting a little nervous... probably shouldn't have watched a band surgery video online Like many of the other Houston bandsters, had a two week 2 protein shakes/1 meal per day preop diet through the holidays. I didn't tell anyone, so my mom - whom I only half-jokingly refer to as "the pusher" - has been trying to ply me with all my favorite Christmas candies. Thankfully, still down 19.6 lbs so far with three more days to go. It's been an interesting journey to get this far, but looking forward to starting the new year by taking this much needed step towards long-term weight control. Best wishes for all of you - I'm looking forward to seeing photos of how well we are all progressing in 2013!
  11. Hey all...I'm wrapping up my pre-op diet and will be banded on 12/31. I stumbled across this forum when I was doing my research - thanks to everyone for sharing your experiences so I've got some idea of what I'm in for after surgery.
