Nope, but a nice tattoo would be appropriate.

She went to Duke??? And they still let her practice? There out to be a law! FYI, before people flame me, this was humor.

Hate to disappoint you, but I won't wear heels until I start shaving my legs and that won't happen until the snow melts.
-
Ok, this ranks right up there with high heels something men will never understand.

I prefer my bulimia the natural way, fingers down the back of your throat. Are you sure it wan't an article off of "The Onion"?

Polish/German background here. Food is love is how I grew up. The band has really helped me to identify where my hunger is coming from. Before all of the head hungers would gang up with my stomach hunger and overwhelm me. Now that the stomach hunger is diminished, the head hungers are much more visible for what they are.

Hiatal Hernia

My surgeon threw it it in with the cost of my surgery. I haven't taken reflux medicine since. Love it. -
Just finished my 2nd spin class and I had forgotten how much fun exercise is. I was out of breath, dripping sweat (I love to sweat) with legs of jello, but I burned 400 calories in 40 minutes and I had an endorphin high that makes the finest pot look like so much crab grass. I feel really good. I can hardly wait until I can get the road bike and the hiking boots out. I may just have to take the family out snow shoeing this week end.

Oh and LuuLuu, please don't look at this as a slam against your post. I understand totally where you are coming from. I have a treadmill, a stationary bike and a complete weight machine set up in my basement and I HATE using them. I trick myself to use the treadmill by putting my laptop on the arms and playing Civilization 5 for an hour as I walk. But hiking and biking really rock my world...

Weight stays off long after lap band surgery (study)
Terry Poperszky replied to DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My surgeon set my goal at the average excess weight loss, and then said this is pretty much guaranteed if you follow the program, once you get here, we decided what your next goal will be. He also uses his nurse as an example of what the band is cable of since she lost all of her excess weight and is cute blond hottie. -
How much exercise is everyone getting?
Terry Poperszky replied to nikils015's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My LB nurse share with the group tonight that was she did her laundry, and folded a shirt she would immediately put it away, then fold another shirt and put it away. Anything to keep her self moving. Try a pedometer, set yourself goals. -
I was scheduled for Friday morning but I am attending a post op class tonight, so they will work me in before the class.

Going for my first fill

Actually I will probably only see the Dr. if I have a problem, other than that his lap band nurse does my fills (no floro) and directs my program. Their goal is to get me to restriction as quickly as possible, I was really pleased to find out the schedule. -
Great job!!!

4 weeks and it still hurts when I exercise.

Margarita, bourbon or wine several times a week. Log the calories and never more than one.

Going for my first fill

1 cc in 10 cc band, and I can definitely feel it. Liquids tonight, mushies tomorrow, and then back to solid food. Found out tonight that fills are on a two week schedule, so back on the 19th for the next. -

sick and stressed and not eating right

I hate it when life gets in the way, and gangs up on you. It seems that everything I get near a major health goal i happens as well. Focus on the limits of what you can control and try to release the rest (at least for now). Just remember, somebody else has already gone through what you are, and has survived. So will you. -
I was shaving this morning and my wife came in and weighed herself, curious I asked how much? Her answer was 122.5 (she is 5' 5"), and that around Thanksgiving she noticed that her back was hurting so she dropped 5 pounds and had been holding steady ever since. You know how my wife dropped 5 pounds and then holds her weight steady? She simply eats less. Not a diet, not skipping meals, not exercising, she eats less of the things that she eats every day. If she wants a beer or a cocktail, she will skip dessert. This is how normal people interact with food. I am not normal, I am a mutant when it comes to food. The band is my tool to help me pass for normal person
