The way it works on other forums, is you can only delete for a short period of time, and not at all if you have been quoted. That way the continuity of the thread is preserved. -
Click on your user name, upper right hand corner of the web page, choose "my profile", then choose "edit"

If my fill hurt as much as getting my ear pierced, I would switch Dr.s. And if putting my pierced earring in hurt as much as my fill, I would stop wearing it.
-
Two things, 1. without your profile filled in we have no way of knowing were you are at in the process, for all we know you could be 6 feet and weigh 90 pounds. 2. Listen to your Dr.

As I have been exercising the jiggling of certain parts has been getting distracting, not to mention my Moobs are not as pert and perky as they were before I got banded so I started looking at compression wear which is hideously expensive. I decided to try some from www.instaslim.com. I got them today and I am very happy with them they hold everything on my upper torso nice and close to my body and the jiggling has all but stopped.

And the journey continues...

Wow, I get a fill every two weeks, that would be insane if I followed that schedule. -
I had my second fill today, the nurse added 1.5 to my 10 cc band bringing my total up to 2.5. Same little ache in the band area after fill, which quickly fades. So, liquids today, mushies tomorrow and solids on Sunday. I have been adding some processed foods back in to try and combat the cravings. Taquitos the other night, and pizza last night. Some things lose their allure when I choose to eat them (taquitos), some things are still trigger foods (pizza), none of them satisfy and curb my hunger like non-processed nourishment. Well, I guess I will just have to sacrifice and eat more ribeyes.

I am thinking of a target or crosshairs over my port just to give my LB nurse a laugh. I figure when I get the excess skin removed, it would get taken off as well. -
I had minor nausea when moving to solids, I used the meds the Dr. gave me. But also checked with the nurse. It cleared up fairly quickly.

Is anyone finding they are exhausted after exercising?
Terry Poperszky replied to Giovy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And it will long term, but the carbs and Proteins that you have just eaten, are easier for your body to access than the fat stores. Think of it this way, when you are eating something it is easier to grab something out of the fridge and eat rather than going downstairs to the pantry and getting food from there. Plus fat is not the only thing you need, and you don't want it breaking down your muscles to get Protein. -

My word, what was he using, a harpoon for a needle? -
No solid food 2 hours before, liquids the rest of the day, then a day of mushies, then back to solid food.

You are my hero! Keep up the good work.

SO WHEN SHEDDING WEIGHT DO YOU LOOSE THE WEIGHT ALL PARTS OF THE BODY??
Terry Poperszky replied to nessa2012's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I respectfully disagree, every trainer I have worked with has told me that they can help me build muscle in a certain area, but that there is no exercise to remove fat from a specific spot, and I have found that to be true. With that said, people are different, and I am by no means the final word on weight loss -

Is anyone finding they are exhausted after exercising?
Terry Poperszky replied to Giovy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you are running a severe calorie deficit like most bandsters, that this may contribute to it. I am doing spin classes that tend to burn between 4-500 calories a session, when I am only eating 1300, that is quite a lot. On spin days, I start hydrating an hour before with electrolytes and right after, class I take a GU energy gel. While this combo costs me 200 calories, I feel much better and I am definitely clearer after exercise. Your car won't run without gas, why would your body? -
Some People Are Just Waiting for Your Downfall!!
Terry Poperszky replied to shrcumm's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
This is an easy question. It is the same reason that vandals will deface historic sites, the mind set that says if I can't accomplish something worthwhile, I can prove I am better than the builders by destroying what they built". We have been taught to make our selves feel better about our own failures by focusing on (and helping cause) the failure in those around us. This is an attitude that has even seeped into the Church. If you are interested there is a book called "Search for Significance" that discusses this in detail along with suggested courses of action. -
4wks tdy & Doing terrible w/ eating
Terry Poperszky replied to terr9952's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Short term the scale lies. a pound of fat consists of 3500 calories, log everything you eat, everything. Find a BMR calculator and compare what is going in with what is going out. If you are eating more than you are burning you will gain fat, if you are burning more than you are eating you will lose fat. Any other weight changes you see besides that are your body screwing with you. This opinion is the result of my personal observations and a basic knowledge of math and should be taken with a grain of salt... -

Check my gallery to see mine, I actually stopped work on a sleeve because I wanted my skin to stabilize first. I will have to think about what I want when I get there. -

The world of solid food is scary...
Terry Poperszky replied to Terry Poperszky's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well, I figured out what to do. I chose to have taquitos for lunch today. No more being bushwhacked, I am allowing myself a little of the old food now and there. I had a couple of hot dogs for lunch yesterday. Funny thing is, I used to love those things and all I could think of while eating them was, why am I eating this crap, it tastes terrible. The taquitos today were very disappointing as well. But the real point is that I took the power these foods had over me by exercising a choice. Thanks for all the input guys, just another day in the journey to be fit.
