Rarely more than a couple. Especially now that I am concentrating on building base miles (Endurance) which depends on multiple consecutive days of training to properly stress the muscles, heart and lungs

I want my drugs...

2 ounces Jamison's Irish Whiskey, 139 calories. It isn't BBQ, but it helps -
I can't drink i for more than 12 - 14 hours a day. If you hate the taste of coffee and add stuff like creamer or sugar, be sure to count the calories.

Put re-heated steak on the list of this that Mistress Band will punish me if I try and eat. Worst stuck episode yet, but it is cleared and instead of steak, I had a protein shake for dinner.

Steel cut oatmeal.

Weekdays Lunchtime or right after dinner. Saturdays 6:30 am Sundays 1:00 pm So the answer really is when there is time. Sometimes life gets in the way and I don't work out at all

Mistress band doesn't have any problems with bloody rare rib eyes, she was complaining because I was eating left overs. -

Reduced appetite after surgery - What Gives?
Terry Poperszky replied to AmandaMarie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Enjoy it while it lasts, many of us, including myself had greatly diminished appetites after surgery. I started counting calories because of I simply wasn't getting enough, I count calories for an entirely different reason now. -
Call your surgeon, there should be an emergency number. He can always call and prep the ER.

Fell off the bandwagon for the last 2 weeks...
Terry Poperszky replied to jbandster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nope, you aren't alone. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get your butt back on the straight and narrow. Either that or get a towel stretcher -

Who am I if I'm not fat?
Terry Poperszky replied to Gizenhoffer's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I seem to remember a post about your hubby and a sun dress. Skinny? Maybe not, but you are going to look hot in that sun dress. -
Who am I if I'm not fat?
Terry Poperszky replied to Gizenhoffer's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Been fat since I was 6, hated every minute of it, but food was the drug that I used to feel better. Who will you be if your are not fat, I don't know and neither do you. BUT, if you do it the right way, you will never believe the person you can become. I have only lost 50% of my EW but already I am accomplishing things that I never could, and it is only going to get better. -
My biking kit was getting kind of baggy, so it was time for new clothes (The jersey was given to me by a vendor last year and I couldn't fit into it to save my life).

I just promised her I would put them back on this evening...
-
Yea, when I came out and my wife saw me, I almost didn't get to go biking  but, I have my priorities
-
Last year I worked really hard all year to get to an average 15 MPH for an hour, and never got there, I would hit 14.8, 14.9, but never 15. I just got back from a 32 mile ride (2 hours) with and average speed of 15.3 http://connect.garmin.com/activity/311087459

I hadn't noticed them being slicker, I know they were harder than hell to get on. But I tend to not ride in the rain, so your YMMV. I just hate changing flats.
-
yea, it felt really good and I still had legs left when I got back. This time I remembered to bring some Gu and a Protein bar so that I didn't bonk.

It is now.

Problems eating in the morning
Terry Poperszky replied to HYAC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What ktsped said. I was told to get used to a protein shake for breakfast. All of the office staff of my Surgeon, including the nurse who runs his after care program are banded and they all start their day with a shake. I generally try and follow up a couple of hours later with eggs. -
Leg cramps at night
Terry Poperszky replied to line-dancer's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Leg cramps for me have always been a sign of not enough calcium. -
What is going on with my body?
Terry Poperszky replied to Lady VS's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Think of your body as a campfire, the more wood you throw on, the hotter that fire burns, same thing with food. As us you decrease the amount of food, your metabolism slows. That and fat is an insulator, as you lose it, your heat loss increases. Yes it will get better as your body adjusts, exercise and building muscle will help boost your metabolism.
