Hello everyone...so I am 2 months post op and I am down 50 lbs...it hasn't been easy, but it's definitely been worth it...can't wait to see more results as the time goes on...
It's possible u need more proteins... The more proteins & water/fluids the more u will lose...I started at 298.5 and I am at about 70-80g of protein a day and 2 weeks post op I had lost 25lbs...I also walked about a mile a day and did light weight upper body... I was instructed gym is good just no crunches...good luck and feel free to message me anytime...
Ur body is still healing so as Long as ur getting ur proteins you shouldn't be very concerned... Week 3/4 that's when u should start looking at a calorie #...but still protein is most important...60-80g...what kind of protein shakes are u doing..?
I'm on body fortress...it taste good and it's 52g of protein...and it taste like hot chocolate...u can get it at stater bros or Walgreens... When were u banded??
I am 1 week post open today....and I have lost 21.5 lbs since 12/12..that included 2 days of liquid diet before surgery on 12/14... its definitely not easy however I know it is totally worth it... I finally found a protein shake I can drink and it has 52g protein in 8 oz...its not zero Carb but since I am not getting them anywhere else a little is OK...(8g)... a long road awaits me but I'm so ready for it...I feel good...!!!
I want it and I want it bad...its just harder than ever...especially cause I'm home with my 1 year old all day so I'm used to eating what he eats...and the feeling of being hungry sucks...I get cranky.. and i swear these protein shakes are doing nothing for me...and they have 50g of protein per serving...
So I'm 6 days post op and I'm hungry all day... I'm still on a liquid diet....my protein shakes are doing nothing...soup only makes me hungrier...not to mention I'm still cooking for my husband and kids so I'm smelling & watching them enjoy food...and I'm miserable....
