Hello All I have been banded for 4 months now and now at 5.3cc of a 10cc band and I can't seem to eat anything for hours after waking up without causing it to come back up - Any advice on actions I could do to help this? I am at the point where I can really only eat dinner. Thanks all!

How long to eat after waking up?
Smiles4Di replied to Smiles4Di's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes when I first got banded I had Premier Protein - I need to go get them again. I bought some powder and mix with 1% milk - taste great but it's thick so getting down in the morning can be difficult! I think this fill is letting me know I am banded which is what I wanted now just need to adjust and keep moving on!! -
Ond'erland I have arrived.

I am excited - I ate egg whites tonight and I didn't think that bland eggs could taste so good!! I ate after working out so maybe it is you need physical activity prior - I have a desk job so I am pretty much immobile all day. Going to work out in the morning and test my theory later this week. I just wish Isopure tasted better because that one is the easiest to get down in the morning! -

Yes I am wondering that as well - I can do a protein drink at lunch if I sip - I guess a better question would be how long does it usually take you to get used to a new fill? I was filled on Thursday from 4.5 to 5.3. -
Ond'erland I have arrived.

I totally agree - I can't even talk about my "number" with my closest friends and family so it is great to open up about it here!!! I can't wait until I am a normal healthy weight so it is no longer a scary thing to talk about! -

I have 70lbs left to lose but I am doing it in stages so my next goal is 30lbs before July -- I was banded in December and have lost 34 lbs so far! Would love to chat!! -

I would love to meet up with you guys- it would be great to talk about diet and exercise etc. Let me know what you all think -
First fill today- it was ok! The doctor numbed me and found my port on the first try!! I def recommend getting the numbing agent as I felt no pain! Doc initially put in 5ccs but I had difficulty swallowing so he took out 1cc so I am 4ccs!! I am super excited because I feel like the journey truly begins now! I can't wait until my full exercise release which is Feb 1! Start my treadmill walking tomorrow

I am a week and 2 days post op and my family went to dinner tonight and I thinking I was ready had a normal meal and man am i paying for it.....word to those who will listen .... Do NOT rush the process! My doctor was very vague about post op nutrition so I have just been doing research and listening to others but I'm back to liquids and slight mushies.... This pain isn't worth it Thanking God for heating pads tonight.....hope sleep comes soon!
